    Thursday pleasures,

Enjoyed a trip to the emporium, lovely to be in the cool and it was very quiet.

Took advantage of offer on ice-cream :j

So hot and windy that my stable shorts were washed & dried within a couple of hours.

My girlie recognising me as I approached the paddocks and called out, she then stood quietly by my side as I chatted to the yard owner, little positive things that I shouldn’t overlook.

Squeaky cheese with pesto pasta for tea.
  • 1) tackling the ironing basket early enough this morning that I could stand in the breeze from the open window, all done and put away now!

    2) A slice of very cold watermelon to finish lunch with, so refreshing.

    3) A chat with DD2 this morning and the knowledge that my Zebra child is back to normal and enjoying nursery and sleeping, and letting his parents sleep too!

    4) Signed the contract on the new house yesterday and it's gone to the solicitor this morning.

    5) A phone chat with my friend Sue who moved to Cornwall last year, we've chatted online but not in person, it was lovely to catch up.

Pleasures written with my best boy beside me.

After a rotten sleep it was a pleasure to get up. And go out very early with doggy.

Made meringues. I'd left over egg whites in fridge.

Almost finished room number 2 but the boy child is so poorly with hayfever today ( nose bleeding and really , really struggling. ) he had to give up...I meanwhile have DD2's bed in bits on my bed.

    Chat with DD2.

Skinny ( definately not skinny this week) club. Always a good blether of nothing else!

Had to pick up another pack of flooring. He had it ready for me to go and kindly put it in the car for me. There will be extra left over. We only need another 2/10 planks...I'm thinking downstairs loo! But I won't mention it to son just yet!

Popped up to a friends to borrow a glue gun thingo. We had the glue but not the gun. Quick chat with her.

DFVhope your boy enjoys his prom !

Jenny sends out :heartpuls :heartpuls to HC OH

    ....

    Thanks :):)

It's been a funny old week, with OH being aware of how lucky he's been/his own mortality, worrying about chest pains (just normal ones and bruising but not still nice) and he's a bit of a caged animal as he can't drive or do much!! But he gets better each day which is wonderful :)

    Loving the weather

Bought some lovely bits for the garden for DD1's birthday

All the courgettes which are ready to pick on my plants

Loving the World Cup - even if the match last night was a waste of time!
  • Wobbleades has bin purchased!

    Pleasures for today (Friday).

    1) Last day at work.

    2) Smaller son did his BTEC Sports Science exam. Hopefully he will do OK so he doesn't need to re-do it next year.

    3) Ordered a mattress protector and fitted sheets for the new extra long mattress for bigger son's bed. And diamataceous earth for the hens.

    4) Popped to town with smaller son to hoover the car out (pre MOT), get some milk and pick up the new kitchen lights.

    5) Watered the garden and occasionally smaller son!

    6) Cleaned the car (also pre MOT).

    7) Picked bigger son up from his new job at 11pm.

    Friday pleasures,

Fast day so took mind off empty tum by tackling Mount Ironmore which was hard to scale due to lack of general interest but finally conquered.

It was 30 degrees and no shade in yard school so girlie left in her paddock, dozing under the tree.

Her Mum spent afternoon in garden, also in the shade, dozing whilst trying to read book.

Watched Made In Dagenham, never seen before and enjoyable film with singalong soundtrack.

A glass of something chilled and bubbly with our evening meal.

    1. Tidied the house. It looks so much better now.

    2. I sorted out my wardrobe and found a couple of skirts that I had forgotten about.

    3. Met someone at the post office who I hadn't seen in a while.

    4. Went to a rugby club dinner. The main speaker called off sick at 2pm. The replacement was good though.

    5. DS1 and his girlfriend came. She seemed ok but very difficult to have a conversation with.
