4. Spent some time in the garden.
5. Early night as I felt tired.0 -

2. Lots of admin done and fun DT lesson.
3. Met DD and freebie hunting friend, after work, for film. (Comp tickets courtesy of friend). Very good. All enjoyed it.

Event at posh sports club this morning. No rush0 -
Many :T congrats to DD on new job and Broomstick on the essay.
Monday pleasures,
All of a sudden the beech trees have gone from a green blush to being completely covered in leaves, always last.
Into horsey town for various errands, picked up a few bargains in the emporium and chat with ex work colleague. Apparently ex toxic workplace have made another round of redundancies, awful place.
Saw my first patch of bluebells.
Over the yard and pampered girlie, I refuse to pull my horse’s mane ( wouldn’t want my hair pulled out by the roots ) so use a thinning solo comb. She looked gorgeous by time had finished but I was covered in hair!
Eating up freezer and cupboard contents ahead of week away, sort of fish stew made with tin of ratatouille, was surprisingly good.0 -
DD New Job. Make sure they pay, usual rules, not paid FryDay, Monday, there’s a song about that!
Sun Flowers! Looks like & putah does not like being here! No, & get offs that phone and reboot your …
VJ cannot reread yours and got messed up with Barbara! Surely not an egg for breakfast there!
V So another stoker has put their shovel against the wall and cannot be bothered abut stoking the furnaces any more. I ask you, there will be no milk for the table if this continues! As for the milk, that should be drips for the tea. I’m offs back to get the furnaces stoked, more room for the needy now! On that as well, colleague at the mill who comes from the continent and is being Anglicised, wanted to know which book to read to continue his progression! I advised against JRR Tolkien as that would put him off forever!
4 Phone thing broke yestereve and the man cannot fix it, so we are reporting without BoPsie being able to see our tracks. So yous can gabble away like old geese! Not that you would need encouragement from BoP! So apologies is I has not read your latest missives!
3 BoP is inn a dilemma. Ayr were tossed off top spot last week! They’re at home! The Mariners are home as well and need a win! BoPsie has her hairdressers’ appointment on Saturday and we cannot afford for her to splash her cash there! Choices, but one has to be cut! Life is too short to have to make tuff decisions and it looks likely that …
2 On that, I think a snorker fest will be needed on Saturday this week! Usual rules and plenty of … Tea shall be drunk! On that, at the mill, some have this foaming coffee machine thingy! They use plastic things and it froths like something from a Christopher Lee film. And at 25 pence a shot, AVOID! Tea comes in a pot, and leave it at that! Proper cocoa will be drunk later tonight!
Missive ends. Further missives this weak go on and on and on about nothing really!0 -
Won't be eating that egg, BoP
COngrats DD :T
Pleasures for yesterday
1. My eye rash is infected contact dermatitis so a mahoosive tube of cream prescribed for a little be to be applied
2. Arranged to have our mahoosive desk taken by council tomorrow - after no takers on marketplace or freecycle. Was easier than we thought to get outside
3. OH cooked a (mahoosive) frittata for tea for meat free monday
4. Eating in our newly tidied conservatory
5. first day of my 'whole30 / 5:2' combination diet (though yesterday was not a fast day) and it was..... ok. I will find giving up dairy, alcohol and legumes hardest (for a month) I wonder which one i will weaken on first. I weighed myself for the first time in a couple of years and it was worse than i hoped but not as bad as i feared - however one thigh is a whole inch bigger than the other so I hope the fat comes off that one...:o
Have a good day folks (writes 'put 5 OS pleasures' on list, crosses off)I wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Today was a day for ticking off lists....( though the contact accountant, email shares company, write to a company in Australia which have been on the list for weeks was still not done ) but everything else was!
First thing walked round to mums to put 7 charity bags on her doorstep ( had to mop rainwater off first) for collection today, took bag of shoes to T carpark to donate and then went to pharmacy with a bag of expired meds.
Quick chat with DD1 and her friend as I walked home. Much laughter.
Made Anzac biscuits. And just had the last one ...pfft! DD 2 inhaled most of them. Delivered 5 to an Australian friends doorstep, put 2 out to take to mums ...Haggis obviously thought they were for him so he ate those , 2 more for mum...who answered her door with a 'where are my Anzac biscuits?' Oh hello! That left one for me!
More clearing! Took another 3 bags down to charity bin at T carpark. A few things came home with us. But not much. We are having a day off from each other tomorrow
Tea was leftovers reheated.
DD2 said its actually quite nice just the two of us .
Friend popped in. Gave me a lift to donate sanitary things. Had collected over 60 packs. Dropped me off at hers and I walked back.
Car is not to be used. A huge spring has sprung and came off in mechanics hand. Now I know zero about cars but know that that should not happen! Waiting on him getting back to me. At least my instinct not to use it was right! I don't think clunking sounds are ever good.
Just going out to bring in washing that would have been dry had it not poured again then brightened up! Then a quick doggy walk then heading to bed.0 -
Quick pleasures for today (Tuesday).
1) Not a bad sleep.
2) Sold a clarinet through marketplace (collected this morning) and 1kg of lego through Ebay.
3) House quite clean and tidy.
4) Hens well - they came here 2 years ago today.
5) Did all sorts of jobs in town - popped to Currys to ask about cooker warranty, got shopping, petrol, admin type bits.
6) Met my school friend for a cup of tea.
7) Smaller son had tea ready on my return - jacket potatoes.
8) Picked bigger son up from canal town where he'd been out with his friends and he seems happy enough.
9) Watched Hospital where you can see my old house.
10) In bed with 1hwb and am about to watch Holby City.0 -
Over 60 packs. Wonderful mhags do you go round friends asking?
1) knee seems to be improving again.
2) found my old no place like 127.0.0.1 sweatshirt (no place like home). Love it
3) good chat with colleague over coffee. My new role is .5 and a leadership role across the whole uni. It means I need to divest the day job of .5 eek
4) life down to pub to meet up with friends to celebrate. New role for me, new job for her
5) then veggie curry. I am not going vegie but am mindfully decreasing intake.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025
