  • Good evening! A year ago in Australian time I was celebrating my early-versarry. My almost 25 years party with our friends.

    For today.
Up early, washed and dressed then ended up dozing again!

Into town with DD2 for a few bits and pieces. She now has a door key. Haggis has a new name tag .
A birthday cake has been ordered . A carpet bought and delivery arranged. A RTC pot of spring flowers outside at front porch. A lovely RTC bunch of deep orange roses and an even cheaper RTC bunch of Valentine red roses.

Roll and slice sausage for lunch. Made by the boy child. I think skint ( hope you're okay) had asked what it was. It's sometimes known as Lorne sausage or square sausage . It's square in shape, fits in a roll perfectly. Is delicious on its own or with fried onions on top and a wee dod of tomato sauce or if you're my son brown sauce!

Washing hung out on line , had a good blow and almost dry.

Lovely chat with my sister and then with my sister in law. Passed a couple of hours!

For tea made chicken schnitzel and salad for me with potato wedges and for kids lemon sole and veg and wedges.

Good chat with DD2 this evening.

    Get well soon poorlies
    For yesterday
    1) walked into town with dd2 as she had uni and I was on city campus
    2) really interesting lunch time event with free lunch, and put together tea from left overs
    3) pub church at 5:30 - new outreach at lgbt pub which I think is a great initiative to launch in lgbt history month
    4) then Phoenix (usual Friday haunt) for a friend;s birthday drink.
    5) lift home from one friend and book club - Harriet harman;s Autobiography ;a woman;s work;. Stayed off the alcohol and home by 11 as new member working this morning so for me today
    1) made it to park run with dd2 (though pleased to say she ran ahead) I saw a deer -the advantage of being rather behind the rest!
    2) cafe after for a cuppa. Dd2 had Lorne sausage and bacon roll (see mhags; post for more detail on square sausage)
    3) then Fabre requiem at lunch time concert. Beautiful
    4) then home for lunch and decluttering. Spring is definitely in the air
    5) after walking dogs and mrpiano playing through Rachmaninov 3 he cooked chicken and lentils while I sorted his recipe cards. A very fair division of labour if you ask me :rotfl:

    1. Found a new covered market in local town - not typically French market but with lots of stalls to eat and drink at for reasonable prices and a huge variety. Also large seating area outside to eat in. Bought some late and bread for tea.

    2. Walking round the town and window shopping. Saw some lovely cotton jumpers at huge prices. Thought I could knit one at a fraction of the price.

    3. Had a coffee in main town square sitting outside in the sun. Enjoyed people watching.

    4. Went to a small seaside village with lovely harbour area in the afternoon. Saw a friend and had a chat.

    5. Managed to watch the final part of the skeleton race on I player.

    Saturday pleasures,

Boiled egg and marmite soldiers for breakfast.

Walked Tilly into the village so I could post a card, first time in ages and lovely to see so many snowdrops in the Abbey grounds.

An elderly Jack Russell asleep on window ledge as we passed his cottage.

Another much needed 3 points for United ( sorry BOP)

Met new livery lady at stables, we both agreed how we have fallen on our feet with such a well, run yard. She also has a grey, that makes 4/5. Its like a scene from White Horses :D
  • Keep on working at the deep end!

5 Had usual brekFest on Saturday, with best back, snorker, mushrooms, poached egg, fried tatties, and haricot has beens in tom sauce with grilled toms! And it looks that Lts has proper foods as well, cus this morn BoP and BoPsie has two boiled eggs with marmite soldiers. Then Raspberry jam on toast.

4 Dining room is back together! Looks right snug. Was at the JL: emporium for curtains, but the queue was far too long for BoP at the Cribbs! So BoPsie on the weigh their texted her BoP for some Mademoiselle perfume. And we are skint like SyA again! Now its was for anniversary but BoPsie just cannot keeps her mitts off!

3 Smelling of roses we nipped offs to the court last night for snorkers and mash! Wobbleade was purchased!

2 Day BoP is doing chicken curry with bitsers, and it will make your waters run!

    Try harder next time dear!

    Good Afternoon Folks,

    1. Managed to stay in bed until 7am....it was light outside when I woke up!

    2. Comp tickets to restoration play yesterday evening. Very funny.

    3. DH very happy with his new car. Would have been better changing the car next year, but it could have been worse.

    4. Got some clothes for DD for her next lot of travels. They fit, and she was v. Happy.

    5. Listed some stuff on EBay. Hope it will fund the fun this holiday.

Just been to the sm for stuff to make roast dinner. Still not feeling right. :( so, back in the sofa nest. :)

    Have a lovely day :)
  • Hello.

Rainy and cold here. Glad to shut the blinds.

Went to T first thing. Had a voucher that was use by today. So spent carefully. Needed dog food and loo paper and kitchen roll etc.

Wearing a new to me cardigan I got a few weeks ago.

Now have clean floors and clean bathrooms...for a little while anyway.

Had a little snoozette this afternoon.

Made a very nice keema curry for tea with RTC turkey mince. I'd certainly have it again. Kids weren't keen ( though son managed to have a second plate)

    Last few days -

    1. Pouring rain, floody roads, Ash Wednesday service, some thoughts came.

    2. Spits £s improvement, d.g., but horrendous for S - wretched shelving collapse, taking her stock with it. Later, young hot chicken chap had his red cash box lifted, entire day's takings. Seen later on camera. As he took order 5m to another stallholder, passing chap reaches over, takes it, walks on, mingling, looking at antiques etc. then, nearing gates, runs suddenly, out and off camera.

    3. Snowdrops out in the bottom of a big abandoned pot. No idea how they planted themselves without soil, rooting in old walnut and eucalyptus leaves. These are hedgehoggy quarters. Jays are calling in a lot, too. Love them.

    4. 27-16, yaaaaaaay!!! A vital match to win against Westcombe Park, done in style, despite some decisions bizarre. Mostly sound, no-nonsense young lass refereeing, but one ancient touch judge's rulings were often 10metres out, as we heartily hastened to advise.....
All our teams won - and won well. Unexpected.

    5. Time meshed perfectly. Day's crop of rugby teatowels/beermats flung into wash, while & continued, still in srufc colours, to local fundraiser staging of Thornton Wilder comedy in very constrained space, achieved with much ingenuity. Some prompting, but sometimes really good moments - all in all, a decent, enjoyable effort.

    6. No meat buying, no wine drinking during Lent for &, but NOT no pancaking. 2 consumed at early-ish Church, in village hall for purpose after early hunt'n'gather at freezing cold Trumpy carboot. One or three bits. Especially like a hefty 19th century solid oak points changer. Weighs a bit, marked for Aylsham, 1881. Then>Tattersalls for fine arts qtrly auction viewing. More Banksies and a sthg that is &'s only while viewing, with a nice £12-15k estimate :-). Keepers and sellers have different Rule Books, but there's a sleeper in every auction.....
& budget is at the dregs end in this company, mais, comme toujours, on verra:-)
