Hugs Mhags glad your DD was able to recover your letters.
I don’t write ,but I talk to OH all the time .12 -
Mhags of course you should write to your husband and of course he hears - so glad you got your words back
1) lo stir fry for breakfast yum
2) friend's 80th birthday lunch at a hotel about 10 minutes' walk away (just past Dr M's place if you must know) - was absolutely lovely, 14 of us
3) lunch was so big (soup and sandwich but came with chips, slaw and salad and the sarnie was huge) I brought some home (the joys of dogs, i always have poo bags and i'm not too proud to use one for a sarnie) for tea but still had the last of the stirfry so had that instead. will have the sandwich for breakfast
4) last meeting mr g phoned - table booked for the football (i admit to taking the call despite being on a teams meeting with another colleague!)
5) predictably late, Dr M arrived for the 2nd half. i was between mr g and mr e so instead we talked over the table. I might have been slightly gooey eyed. He'd followed yesterday's Luton match and said he'd come watch the Luton game with me Saturday but sadly it's the rugby so we decided instead to wait till Sunday for the Leicester game. then of course he walked me home. we're also watching the Leeds match on Wednesday and Leicester again on Thursday. oh and work was better.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Ampersand thank you for the kind words.
Mhags so glad you retrieved your words.
1. Caught the bus to work. Enjoyed reading my book on the bus
2. Met a friend at lunchtime. A welcome break from work but was quizzed so much when I got back to work. Where was I? What was I doing? I had said I was going to Costs before I went so my only reply was I was at Costa.
3. It was a colleague last day. Someone I get on ok with but she left to work in London. Said goodbye and then added see you Sunday. Others wanted to know what we were doing. Neither of us enlightened them. She has tickets for rugby match and sitting not too far from where I sit.
4. Quiet evening. Listening to music and reading my book as DH was out at a meeting.
5. Lit candles.12 -
Have to admit my heart was in my mouth when I read your post Mhags, so pleased you got your letters back.
For yesterday
A much milder day so windows open and house aired a tad.
Listening to WH and Val McDermid talking about the appalling situation at Raith Rovers, sensible words and backed up with appropriate action.
Worked pony in school and she was a good girl for her Mum.
Evening walk just me & small dog as beloved had zoom meeting, still mild and no need for hat, scarf etc.
Tea was LO beef stew over a jacket spud with extra veg.12 -
Morning all - phew Mhags

4. DS and OH went out for the evening so i had a whole night in by the tv an

1. hair done - bye bye blonde, hello brown (closer to my natural (pre-grey) colour)
2. walk up to friend's and a coffee there - oh hello little doggy, you are always the person (!) most pleased to see me
3. more marking (3 left..)
4. Out with DS to choose paint for the walls of his room (one or two of which will be bright orange 😮) and the carpet. "we can do it on Friday!" - oh gosh, that soon? (It's coming next Thursday)
5. Pictures with DD and DS to see 'Belfast' - thoroughly recommend but you have to get through the first few sea-sick inducing minutes.
Have a great day all - more marking, kitchen cleaning and teaching for me.I wanna be in the room where it happens11 -

Good afternoon
Mhagster - oh no. That must have been scary. Glad DD sorted it.
V Life - it must be so hard going to a difficult workplace every day. Hugs x
Hospital rang yesterday and DH operation moved forward a day. Pleased really cos was worried the phone call was to postpone/cancel, but it means sorting out transport again. I can take him there but I hate driving on unlit, unfamiliar roads at night so had arranged for DD to pick him up. But she's away for work on the new day. DS has stepped up to do it instead. They're good kids!
Took some shopping round yesterday for a friend who has just been discharged from hospital. Her life is somewhat complicated at the moment so I stayed awhile and chatted.
Had my best boots mended today ( very MSE) Cost £10 but considerably cheaper than new boots.
Bought 4 tea plates with puffins on. Not a bit MSE as totally unnecessary but they make me smile.
The gf choc chip cookies were great. Not quite as good as ordinary ones but a very close second and a huge improvement on the dry gf scones.
Happy Thursday everyone9 -
OK I has gots the info on the utilities and the bills, and I am digesting it now for you! While I apologise for not giving you my fix last year as I was not inn the parish, I will let yous know what me forts are tomorrow!I work from home so my cat can be fed on demand!8

4. Drove young person sans transport to an essential appointment to receive desperately needed ££s.

Pleasures for today (Thursday)
1) A lie in.
2) Hens OK.
3) The ancient cat was very happy playing in an empty box on the patio!
4) Smaller son did quite a lot of college work. We presume it is opening up again on Monday.
5) I went for a walk to find a geocache.
6) Meatballs with HM sauce for tea. Spaghetti for smaller son and leeks for me.
7) Work has commenced on the new housing opposite and it is interesting to see the foundations to the old pub, including steps leading down to what would have been the cellar. It was demolished in 1981 to make the crossroad visibility better. Now they are building 4 houses in the same place. What could possibly go wrong...?
8) We've been watching clips on the forthcoming FA Cup match. Gary Lineker won't be going there to commentate now (he's got coronavirus) but he liked my tweet saying to get well soon!11
