lovely picture ampersand
1) we have solved the work issue - very much a joint effort but very pleased that the suggestion that I made yesterday having collected all the facts, has now been agreed at the top phew (and I have learnt from the process)
2) got further on my run than Tuesday (week 8 c25k, both were 5 mins walk 28 mins jog 5 mins walk) - thrilled with my progress
3) after work a chat with the boss - we were both obviously shattered - then I had a lovely hot bubble bath
4) dd2 ordered from the chip shop - i am working my way through the local's menu - tonight was king rib which i haven't tried before - tasty
5) then online pub quiz with friends - my team won, mainly to the phenomenal geography knowledge of one of our team (not me)
I think an early night is called for

VL Belated Birthday wishes.
Bala so glad you know there’s a reason behind it.
DD, what a great photo, everything about it, you look so happy and great hair.
They really are great photo’s and great food portions there.
1 A round robin in one journey, both second covid jabbed, then picking up DH’s prescription, and picking up a form. As there are 4 way temporary traffic lights which have occurred overnight and our road is kind of off them and round, so we stopped in at Aldee on the same road and way home, but I blew our budget! Ironically because they had a lot of great tomatoes at 75 and 30 percent off, then 75 off some various meat worth a try, and 75 off bread and rolls so I stocked the freezer up and then I may have purchased some ferret treats, ferret milk and err a pack of 6 garden lights – of course. A nice feeling the freezer is happier thou.
2 Ordering in tonight as our favourite is open, and I am starting to feel a bit iffy.
3 Animal snuggles.
4 I phoned the vet to give an update, sort out a prescription and ask the cost of a jab, ouch I may add, then had a laugh I asked somewhat sheepishly, I didn’t have to give my surname am I a terrible customer? They laughed out loud and said I am always very happy, and when things are bad I cry they know where they stand. Also apparently there aren’t many ferrets named Humbug. Who is now safe and sound with another 6 month prescription.

oohhh PK, so glad Humbug is sorted. You must be relieved. Been meaning to ask you if ferrets enjoyed human cuddles. Seems they do.
Dad is in hospital as you know. Too much going on but am going to try to speak to consultant tomorrow. Fingers crossed. Not as easy as it sounds.
To all, yes am pleased I now know what has been causing all my physical woes. So just need time to mend.
Sweet dreams

For yesterday,
Both of my girls had a birthday, small dog was 10 and equine girlie was 9, small dog had a few cubes of cheese added to her breakfast, her very favourite thing.
Over to the yard armed with a big bag of apples so equine girlie could share her birthday treat with her stablemates, no work just a big pamper and loads of cuddles.
Capt S was at cricket so house to myself for a few hours, did a few chores and walked spaniel ahead of coming storm.
Cricket was a wash out so beloved home early but he did get to spend time with his eldest so enjoyable all the same.
Cold, wet and windy, bbrrr, heating on in May! snuggled down in my warmest PJ’s and a hooded top, can someone in charge please switch summer on please?12 -
Morning all - still wild and woolly here. That is not a pleasure!
PLeasures for yesterday
1. A trip on the steam train with DS. As i said, I rarely do the whole line so it was nice to see it all looking so good and know that i've played a small part in that.
2. popping up to see the gorge at the end station - only briefly though as it was throwing it down!
3. When we got back, DS and i watched Harry potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Later we watched Silver Linings Playbook. It was definitely a 'stay in, light the fire, watch a film' kind of day.
4. I have a draft paper! It is definitely not a good draft, but getting to this point is a victory in itself.
5. A soak in the bath first thing with my book. I'm reading a Jean plaidy based on Mary Queen of Scots. She taught me all my history (Jean Plaidy, not MQoS 🤣🤦♀️)
Have a great day if you can in this weather, we're on our way back shortly.I wanna be in the room where it happens11 -
Oh no! - all just disappeared again!😖🤬#
Well, that makes & mood match the wild and stormy everything ongoing here, after a noisy night of mystery whacks and wallops. Haven't fully surveyed for damage yet. Probably high fig loss out front☹.
1. Nothing really done outside yesterday and feel entirely So What! about that. Other things done, including teatowel turnover🙄. Last batch in hw cupboard now.
2. Still can't identify a frequent new juvenile visitor, thrush size, with 2 distinctive white/pale grey bar feathers. Not teen magpie. Bold enough to hold out against bully wood pigeon for peanut fat slab. Outside early again today, but still haven't managed pic.
3. 1st purple iris fully out. Irises were &'s maman's fave flower.
Have just spent 28 dreary, watchful minutes trying to upload pic. Failed.
4. Listening to the final of Josie Bevan's outstanding series(all available)'Prison Break'. TOTAL RECOMMEND:
