Bonjour pomme verte
Suffolk Sue. So glad to see your post. And extra glad you saw your son. Sometimes compassion and common sense must be allowed to win.
Garden centre this morning! That's three trips out in one week! Had to buy birthday present and card for DD's partner. There was only a handful of other customers ( it was raining!) so we were in and out lickety split, and very social distanced.
My lavender plug plants have arrived. All forty of them. They're teeny tiny but will be planted up and shared among friends and family - whether they want them or not 😀
Started watching 13th on Netflix about racism ( the 13th amendment ended slavery). Will have to watch in small doses as there's a lot to take in, but very well done. And harrowing.I
Sun's coming out so off I go to pot up lavender.
Happy afternoon everyone

DD - funeral sounds lovely. Hugs
1. At work from next week more patients are being seen - my boss has timetable me to see patients for a session every day as it is better for my back and am I happy with that. Fantastic was my reply. I wouldn't mind doing it all day if necessary.
2. Text messages with a couple of friends.
3. Phoned a nice man at the council regarding the complaint from our neighbour about the cockerel we are looking after for our other neighbours. The cockerel is on agricultural land and we have at least 2 other cockerels we can here from here. He gave me the info needed and was reassuring that the complaint is looked at from a reasonable person point of view. He has since apologised for complaining after I wrote a very polite letter.
The neighbour who complained has on many occasions played drums at 7 in the morning and will always rev his motorbike for 5 minutes before leaving.
4. Drinks in garden with DH. Both sons thought it was too cold.
5. Grass looking much greener after all the rain.14 -
Good to hear from you Mhags and glad that you are feeling a tad better.
A totally understandable reason for son to see his Dad Sue just a big hug for you.
Pleased that all went well DD.
For yesterday,
Baby bunnies in the garden and watching their antics, just hope Mr Stoat wasn’t doing the same!
Picked up some bedding plants from lady in village and cleaned up a couple of baskets to plant up at the weekend.
Pamper day for beautiful grey one, deep groom plus tidied up mane, tail and leg feathers.
Heard that youngest hollow-legged one ( DSS ) had been offered a graduate job to start in September.
The pastry shrunk and my quiche leaked but it tasted good.

More rain!
The sun went back in quickly yesterday and the rain started so the mini lavender were not planted! And won't be today because it's even rainier.
Have just changed energy supplier on the MSE site. Ashamed of myself that I didn't do it sooner, but it says we will save just short of £500 per year!! That will be nice!
Junior schools in our area can open from Monday. DGD will be delighted if they do. She has really missed her friends.
Off to wander around Pinterest. That will be most of the afternoon accounted for! I have some new fat quarters so need some new ideas .
Happy ☔ day everyone11 -

1 DH’s present arrived, it’s a soundbar we had been looking at since last September it didn’t go into any sales thou. He’d given up on hearing the media at home as his hearing has got worse, he’s loving it, but now we both have to learn it and it’s also got Alexa built in which I’m pondering off to work out what it is tonight.
2 I ordered enough plants to meet the £20 means free delivery by 5p over, so about 8 dianthus plants are to fill in the gaps around, rather shocked they were delivered same day from the local nursery. Wow.
3 With l/o chicken made a madras and brown turmeric rice it was far hotter than I intended. That’s 6 meals the chicken has made so far and enough for 2 more if I chuck it in a risotto concoction.
4 I’ve arranged the return of the sale clothes I ordered, thankfully they pick them up handily.
5 Its raining, definitely a garden pleasure.
