Art'noon all
Back at my deskthose blessed corrections additions won't do themselves... back to earth with a bump..
Pleasures for Saturday
1. Being in watching the rain - at least it was decent rain
2. Made some face masks watching "Little Fires Everywhere"
3. Read 3 chapters of a book someone bought me years ago. They bought two "You before me" and "after you" - i read the first and hated it (sorry to those who loved it, it was hugely popular i know) and the next is the sequel. Having read the first two chapters i skipped to the end, decided that i REALLY don't want to read it and have put it in the chazzer bag. this is a pleasure.
4. Had fish pie from the freezer for tea - am seriously sick of 'lumps of meat' with something so this was a nice change. think i might take over the food plannning. OH is a good cook but going day by day means it gets a bit samey. i will start to plan for a week.
5. Virtual pub that Sil and BiL didn't join - regrettably this made it more pleasurable.
And yesterday
1. More mask making - watched 'Anne with an E'. Truly beautiful.
2. cleaned the bathrooms and dusted upstairs - the pleasure is that it's done for a bit
3. browsed some cook books - need to lose a bit of weight so was focussing on the diet ones...
4. Family film night, DD's choice "spiderman into the spiderverse". it was better than i expected - fab soundtrack
5. Clean sheets!I wanna be in the room where it happens12 -
No one will be surprised that the County have emailed again with the name of a charity to "help teenagers back into work". So I've emailed back, AGAIN, asking if this is alongside GCSE retakes. The charity has a name similar to "Search and Rescue", which has amused me at least. I've pointed out AGAIN that a charity worker will struggle to make progress with a child who cannot speak to her... No word from the MP or solicitor yet.
Anyway...
Pleasures for today (Monday)
1) Bigger son's face is retreating back to the right place. Thank you, NHS.
2) A local lady (from our village FB group) brought lots of runner bean plants and 4 pumpkin plants.
3) My new rug arrived - only £5 as the company had over-ordered. (Ian Snow, VJsmum)
4) A good hour on the allotment. Soft fruit coming on well. Did a lot of weeding and planted new plants, all in piles of muck as the soil is so poor.
5) HM wine is fermenting too fast!
6) LO chicken from last night made tasty chicken tikka sandwiches for lunch. HM tomato sauce from the freezer made tuna pasta for tea. LO damson crumble and custard for pudding.
7) My sister popped into the garden!
8) Have been thinking about re-writing my dissertation (for about 10 years!) and chanced upon someone on Twitter discussing the Bromsgrove Guild and stained glass. Got "chatting" and made a few notes and my dissertation will be dropped off by my brother soon, a re-write and then some more accessible (for accessible, read interesting!) little guidebooks made. I can't go to mum and dad's to collect the dissertation now, as we were in A and E yesterday and it seems like pushing our luck, even standing on the drive.

1. My back ( and me) survived going back to work. Not a great day but have had worse.
2. Making phone calls at work and a couple were worthwhile.
3. DS2 enjoyed his first day back at work after being furloughed.
4. An email written - no response yet but had been putting it off for a bit.
5. Enjoyed reading my book.
6. Menu planned so DS1 can go shopping!14 -
For yesterday,
Heard on morning radio show that Paul & Bob are coming back to tv soon with a new series of their fishing programme.
Drove over to the yard and limped out to girlie’s field with a bucket of brushes and apples, gave her a groom and oh so many cuddles.
Toe held up ok but side of foot ached, think I’m been rolling slightly to one side to compensate.
Started new book and quickly become engrossed.
Easy tea of cold chicken, chips and beans.14 -
ouch frith i remember dd2 getting orbital cellulitis when she was 4.
1) and yesterday was her 27th birthday. a quiet celebration but her boyfriend didn't disappoint - chocolates flowers headphones and penguin items (i gave her a mother board or rather the money for her mother board for the computer she's just built herself)
2) after some miserable cold weather the sun came out lunchtime so my washing dried fine
3) and i sat outside eating my lunch and indeed after the birthday tea - she had a separate candle to blow out rather than the normal candles on the cake!
4) listened to mrpiano's concert - he's current staying with a friend in Tampa and did an audience-free piano concert - he flies back Wednesday night so will have to quarantine here for 2 weeks after travelling on public transport from heathrow to kings cross then train to dundee then taxi to the house I assume. i have taken advice from my consultant friend - he will have his own bathroom and we will use the kitchen at different times. As he is immunocompromised i know he will be very very careful
5) indeed while here he'll be having (another) colonoscopy which would be $1500 even with his health insurance. i have accessed him of being an NHS tourist ;-)
Right work in 20 minutes and i'm still sat here in my gym kit. This morning's totalbodyproject was 'burn and blast'. certainly i felt the burn but it was a blastMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Morning all
Pleasures for yesterday
1. cancelled plans (they're happening tomorrow) meant i could do the yoga class - luckily the teacher's wifi (which can be troublesome) held out until the very last minute.
2. did my first Couch to 5k run - i am not sure how this will go as i have troublesome ankles and knees, but at least i will have tried. The scales were not kind yesterday morningThe pleasure is that i did it (and am not too achey this morning)
3. Started my corrections - i am not convinced one of them is necessary and have to find the words to say so. the pleasure is in starting and estimating i should have them done by the end of July (stop laughing at the back there) without knocking myself out by working all day every day
4. Cheese omelette for lunch and cheese and lentil loaf for tea - low carb diet starting due to the scales in 2.
5. No gin - first day for weeks and weeks. Gin is usually accompanied by nuts and we've decided to cut both out at the beginning of the week.. it was fine. Our meals are not too horrific in terms of weight gain and we're exercising so think it must be booze, nuts and cake.
Have a great day all.

Now withs your version of the Life of BoP!
Watched Hangover Part II last nite, wobbleades and cheeses were consumed. Raffles was treated. Very good and we has one left before the new Das Boot series. I remember that we watched the original series in the Pigs Bar a few years back! The new series is very good, so more wobbelades are inn the refrigerator cooling with the cheese on the side!
Had our ravioli and spagYetti on toast last nite. A dinner and a half. Tonites we is having the fake kedgeree! Mackerel, with finely chopped onions, sweet corn and some shrimps! Mixed with egg sauce and some long grain rice. Will be rubbing the tum tomorrow.
All emergency fixes inn BoP Pad are done. BoPsie is happy with her none leek inn shower! Knurdlers are back inn the tool box inn BoP's shed! I is often asked what knurdlers are, they are grippers that persuade nuts to be released! You probably needed to know that!
Rite, is early, nearly elevenses and that means tea, splash of milk and a chocolate covered digestive! Proper elevenses! There, what is yours?
Today, that is it!
Don't give inn to the easy way!

Back reading after a bad week with masses of work and a terrible neighbour problem. Finally snapped after 15 years of Vicky Pollard and phoned Police and NSPCC. Wish I had done it months ago. Police were fantastic.
Well done VJs Mum. Hope your boy continues to improve Firth. Lainey, maybe the bruising is still to come out?
My 5,
Very grateful for the masses of work.
Sleeping like a baby, to be fair though I usually sleep well if not very worried.
Cats are well and enjoying the warm Scottish sunshine. Thank you Raffles.
Plants are thriving. The garden is my happy place.
Cooking is definitely improving. Just need to master quiche now.
Hope everyone is well.11 -
A very, very early start for us... woken abruptly - pictures to follow!
Pleasures for today (Tuesday)
1) Bigger son did some cycling.
2) Popped to my parents. We've graduated from sitting down the drive to all sitting spread out in the garden!
3) More muck for the allotment.
4) Camp fire and a bit of weeding.
5) In bed and will watch Holby City.
This is what faced us in the middle of the night. It is mainly damsons...
