I was awake, it was dark, but I got up and made a coffee anyway. Then thought "might as well start then", having no idea what the time was I took a quick look and it was 7.40 so I thought "that'll do".

Because I happened to have a bag of carrots and a big head of celery to get through I washed/peeled and sliced a large carrot and lay that down in the SC, then washed a long stick of celery, cut that in three and put it in the SC - and after I'd zested/squeezed the lemon yesterday for the nutroast I'd wrapped/kept that so tossed that in too. Turkey on top. Lid on. Full power.

    Dinner's on!!

    :)

I'll have a chocolate orange mince pie in a bit. I want to eat that when I can see it though, so waiting for daylight. (I've no working bulb in my living room).
I'll have a little drink of ginger beer to go with it :)
  • Christmas Greetings to all, I hope you enjoy the day however you are spending it.

Fake Bucks Fizz (sparkling water & OJ :) ) to start the day and pate on toast with a touch of redcurrant jelly on the side

I've taken king prawns out to defrost and will have spicy prawns and salad for a starter, turkey and trimmings, cheese board, fruit, nuts, dates and mince pies as and when I feel like it - just cause I can :D

Poinsettia is still alive, festive candles are burning, food is organised - all's right with my world.

Ah, you're totally Xmas Fail then!

I wouldn't have one except I was bought one as a Xmas present in 2015 .. and it brought me such joy I bought one last year and this year. At 75p/4ldi for a fine cheery figurine under the tree, he's a fixture :)

Merry Christmas everyone. Just popping in before I am whisked off to DDs house for everything Christmas, no CFO for me at all today, just sit on sofa and maybe stuff a choc or two in me before Christmas sit down dinner

My turkey crown is out of freezer & into fridge, will be cooking that tomorrow, today is vegetarian day at DDs

Breakfast was nothing unusual for me toast, ginger preserve & a cuppa
OH, and it was crisp sarnie for last night's dinner

But from here on it gets very rich & calorific food. :T

    Morning oneskis

I hope you all have a good day.

My treat last night was sheep's cheese and crackers. I love sheep's cheese.

I have no idea what I'm eating today, I'll decide as the day goes on.

  • I'm dressed and listening to the service on the BBC. I don't know what the man is rambling on about at the moment.:rotfl:

I had two WM rolls with marg for breakfast. Dogs were fed too and the cats got a tin of tuna as a treat.

I've laid the table and lit the candles. Red tablecloth and white tablemats. I've got these nice fake poinsettia table decorations and two scented candles.

I will start making dinner for about 1 o'clock, I think.:)
