Haha I will try my best although may not even get in as I work on Saturdays from 8.30am - 5pm and Sundays 11am to 5pm but I shall sharpen my elbows if I do go
I'm the same Caronc it has to be salad cream. I don't mind garlic mayo but my taste definitely runs to salad cream more!
I'm the same Poppy! I have none in and no money until payday next Friday so can't have them but am craving them now as though I were pregnant. Which thanks to god I can't do anymore0 -
Weather's been so bad here today I've been feeling a bit "twitchy" and been pacing about a lot .... which then, of course, leads to scoffing.
Just whipped up a cheeky little cheese/tomato cheese-topped roll
Didn't need it; didn't particularly want it .... but it was there and I was kind of "looking for something to do" ....0 -
Have you any frozen fish fillets in the freezer? If so make your own and satisfy the urge:D;)
You're a genius and I do have fish fillets and bread galore :T
Well in true CFO style I'm home, showered, in pj's, keema eaten although with bread and butter as I remembered using the naan breads last week and have made up some butterscotch angel delight which I'm eating out of the jug that I made it in :rotfl:0 -
Just retrieved girl cat from a spontaneous swimming session in the marina. Actually, she got herself out.
Foul weather all afternoon, so a few of us holed up with (too much) red wine.
I think it will be pizza for supper. Possibly with oven chips. I am nothing, if not a classy bird.
And sorry for mentioning fishfinger sandwiches Poppystar. Will make sure I don't do it again. Until next time.0 -

Revised supper. Whilst retrieving the oven chips I found a chicken Kiev, which leapt into the oven tray.
Ain't that the joy of CFO?
Last minute change of plan. No one else to explain to.0 -

, I really CBA making anything complicated so a flat mushroom is in the griddle pan, I'll pop in a burger in a bit and a ciabatta roll has been defrosted. Garlic mayo will be added at the end and maybe a chopped gherkin:). I'm back to CFO properly tomorrow and need to meal plan as my fridge and freezers are [STRIKE]crammed to the gunnels[/STRIKE] "stappit fu" but my brain is struggling in the "what to eat" department!

I spend a lot of time looking at pictures of food I can never make (99% of recipes) because they can't be scaled down to one bit and you still get the same result.
Yes, you can adapt and change them ... but, ultimately, a lot of great food is ONLY great because there's a HUGE portion of it... and one bit is just a slice. Look at all those marvellous huge cheesecakes that serve 4-12.... even if you made just one slice it'd not be the same as seeing that huge/wide slab of it ... and you'd never get the satisfaction of carving out a slice.
And, if you're honest, there's little food that is ACTUALLY as good the second time round - freezing/defrosting and reheating ISN'T the same as that freshly made first portion you had.
A family pie, cut into four quarters, IS better than buying an individual pie (as the filling/crust ratio's better) .... but those 2nd, 3rd and 4th quarters diminish significantly in satisfaction as you plough through it in the coming days ....0
