Thanks Sunny, Holly and PN!
I've actually just added butterscotch Angel Delight and crumpets to my monthly shop online order!
I have been doing a weekly shop up until now but I've set myself a budget of £60 for the month (although it will see me into September too) plus if I order it online and get it delivered I'm not sidetracked and putting what I fancy into my basket...
Sometimes I CBA to cook much so I'll have Ryvita, soup, etc but on a Sunday I like to do a mini batch cook/meal prep and do a risotto or chicken thighs/broccoli etc and portion it up into boxes for the week... I live out of plastic boxes! I often eat out of them too, saves washing a plate! :TCredit Card Debt:[STRIKE]£12991[/STRIKE] £12526

I like my own space, can you tell?! :rotfl:Credit Card Debt:[STRIKE]£12991[/STRIKE] £12526

Hello! I'm over east in Limehouse. If you're ever on the DLR between the City and Canary Wharf, you'll see my boat (one of the many here)
It is a glorious life.
I've just succumbed to a fishfinger sandwich. With ketchup. None of this mayo nonsense.0 -
I've never used online shopping. I don't use that much stuff - and I like to go and get what I see/fancy, when I discover it or want/need it.
I aim for £1/day for food .... going over for all my naughty treats - and, I must say, this thread has increased my treats as I've been able to "share my little buys" here....
I don't use an oven/hob ... everything's done in the nuker, toaster, slow cooker and a mini grill
I am not "interested" in cooking, I kind of like eating.
I tend to get stuck into ruts.... but also discover new things that then become the new rut.0 -

I've never been keen on it. I prefer salad cream to mayo. I've bought a couple of jars of mayo over the years but have always found it a bit odd looking/behaving and quite offputting. S/cream is really just mayo+ stuff ... bit of vinegar and mustard seems to be the difference. I use S/cream in spud salad and pasta salads too and as egg/s-cream sandwiches ...
For FF sandwiches I'll switch between ketchup and salad cream

I'll drag you all down to my level soon .... and let's not forget good old hash brownsThanks Sunny, Holly and PN!

My budget is £120 a month including cleaning products and pet food and I find it doable but am impressed when it can be done for £1 a day or £60 a month. Well done!0

I LOVE mayo, it's my favourite condiment! I like all the other usual suspects too but mayo is my fave... I've been known to put it on roast dinners!
Our oven isn't working properly at the mo, I think the heating element blew when we had a power cut and my flatmate was cooking at the time. We told the landlord. In February. Anyhoo, the grill function still works so it's usable but not for baking or big joints of meat... it'll do nice potato wedges though! :T so I tend to use the hob or microwave for most things.
I'm planning on making:
Veg risotto (batch cook)
Chicken thighs (kind of 'roasted' or 'broiled' in a load of stock) with broccoli (meal prep for week)
Corned beef hash (batch cook)
Stocking up on tins eg sweetcorn, baked beans, spaghetti hoops for quick snacks and also potatoes, cereal, bread, crumpets, pasta etc I use normal milk in tea but whatever dairy free milk that's on offer on cereal eg almond or cashew milk. Soya doesn't agree with me!
I've been trying to eat low carb but that'll have to wait until I've paid my debt off! I've been humming and hawing about cancelling my gym membership but it's the only 'thing' that I do for me, if you know what I mean? I don't go out drinking, I don't eat out or have takeaways, I don't buy new clothes or make up and I go to the gym 5 days a week... I'd rather eat cereal and toast 24/7 than give it up!Credit Card Debt:[STRIKE]£12991[/STRIKE] £12526
