Okay we have lost the same as :-
a 2 month old horse + a 2 year old toddler + a guinea pig!!!! :j:j:jMust use my stash up!0 -
I think I'll push the boat out and go for one whole pound for the next challenge please Knit Witch. Aiming for something that I may not achieve doesn't suit me. I've been trying to up my exercise too, but my leg is very sore today so a target that I know I will reach is best.0

Family came to visit yesterday so the diet went out of the window- well you have to look after them don't you, and join in!!!
I'm determined to be back on track today as weigh-in is tomorrow. Lunch will be some sort of protein, probably eggs with greens. Dinner is leg of pork but I'll stay clear of the roast potatoes and just have extra vegetables. I'm not sure what we are having as a pudding. I think there are some frozen berries in the freezer (I certainly know I have frozen blackberries from last year) so I'll do something with them.
I also need to look at portion control. We both have a smaller plate than we used to but I'm trying to cram as much on the plate as possible - not a good move.
Hope everyone is enjoying today - with or without the chocolate eggs0 -
Hi, l would like to join your next challenge. Three years ago l lost three stone, l've now put two stone of that back on and it needs to go! I'd like to lose 14lbs in this session.0

Hi all,
Hope you are all having a nice Easter weekend. Lots of chocolate here, so focussing on weight loss is proving a challenge.
Knitwitch, please can I sign up for the next challenge - 7lbs please. Work has been horrific these last few weeks. I'm off this week so will be looking for something else. Keep having to remind myself that it's only a job, not life and death. I'm an emotional eater, hence the failure to keep on track last challenge.
Let's do this!

Well, coming to the end of the last challenge, and I've gained 1lb, sorry everyone!! Still, we can add to our weight-loss equivalent a couple of small mice, so there you go.
I must admit, I am at a lower weight in comparison to when I started my 'not on a diet diet' some time ago (about 2 years I think?) The stone I lost has stayed off, with a variation of a pound over/pound under most of the time. I think the snacking has to be the problem; instead of starting off with fruit or rice cakes first, then moving onto chocolate if I really fancy it, I'm going straight to the chocolate!
Is there such a thing as an ideal weight that your body won't change from? I'm sure mine has decided that this is the optimum weight for me, so perhaps I should concentrate on staying at this weight, or close to it. I would LIKE to be a couple of pounds lighter, perhaps at my age this is the way it will stay? What are your thoughts?
Anyway, striving to get to where I would like to be, I'll put down 4lbs for the next challenge please, Knitwitch. Hubby is away for 3 nights this week, so he won't be cooking and I won't be eating so much! Soup and toast it will be for me.
Happy Sunday everyone. x0 -
Evening All,
I'd like to join this group to kickstart cooking and eating better.
I need to lose about 4 stone and did slimming world for about a year about 4 years ago so I know I can do it. I found that cooking and eating three meals a day really helped but I didn't like sticking to group for two hours and that was a time when money was tight.
I'm the only one in the house so when I stopped sw I found it easy to slip into bad habits without the accountability so I'm looking for an online community to help me stay motivated.
Basic plan is to use the huge amount of food in the house to meal plan and eat regular meals. Aiming for one higher calorie day a week and two trips to the gym. Going to look for 1lb/0.5 kilo a week.
Today I've got a lump of beef in the slow cooker with tomatoes and spinach. I'm going to add some cumin/paprika/garlic and have it with rice and roasted red peppers over the next couple of days. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Hi Knitwitch
Could you put me down for 14lbs please for the next challenge. I really need to et my bum in gear for the summer as I dont want to feel like last year. Brighter nights and better weather (although still blasted cold) are motivating me to get of my bum and do stuff.
Thanks0 -
Right, today.
Breakfast = fruit and muller lemon greek yogurt
Lunch = roast pepper and mushroom omelette
Dinner = beef one pot (beef, tomatoes, passata, courgette, peppers, spinach, Prymat Gyros Seasoning)That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.
