When I was expecting my first child I took my wedding ring off in case my finger swelled up, when she was a few months old I decided I wanted to wear it again and forced it on thinking it would be ok. My finger quickly swelled around the ring and turned a horrible red then purple colour and it was hurting. I rang DH in a panic as no amount of soap and cold water was getting it off, in the end he directed me to a hacksaw in the garage and I had to saw it off.

ouch! There is a trick you can do with thread which can get rings off that you think will never come. I was much larger when I got married than I am now so I had to get my rings reduced - I really resented them getting to keep the tiny chunk of platinum they took out :)

    Afternoon All

WI today, a day late as I was travelling, and it is -1lb.

B: lo carb granola, berries and skim
    L: veggie stir fry
D: SC pulled pork, some sort of carb, kale/broccoli

    50 min dog walk

I am getting the colour done in my hair tonight as there is a lot of new growth and a fair amount of it is grey. When she looked at the records I hadn't been since June - as I have long hair I have accidentally gone 'ombre' at no cost!!!!

Morning all, - 1.5 lbs for me this week please Knit witch. Sorry that I've been AWOL, a close friend has had some bad news which has meant that I haven't felt very sociable. Normal service will be resumed shortly and in the meantime, today's food is :-

Breakfast : bacon medallions and dry fried egg on small toast

Lunch : Beef and veg stir fry (no noodles)

Dinner : mushroom omelette (because it's quick and easy and I'm going to be out all day)

    Snack : ginger nuts
  • I've had a bad few weeks and I'm not sure why. I've gained a pound but ive lost an inch off my waist. think i need to just reduce my portions maybe.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Thought I would update myself, haven't been online much as in the winter months my diet slipped quite a bit even though I was having my daily chicken flatbread and diet drinks, though despite the slips (takeaway maybe 2 nights a week instead of one and eating more before bed) my weight hasn't really gone up in past year id say, or down (was a point it seemed to go down in the summer for a short period) so id actually put that as a positive since it means with more activity and less slips the weight will start to come off relatively easy in my mind.

Can you pop me down for a 1.25lb loss please Knitwitch. Quite pleased about that as I really only started on Monday in earnest as I have not been well since New Year. Figers crossed for a wee bit more next week :p

Some brilliant weight losses going on. Well done everyone congratulations :T:T Good luck to everyone for the forthcoming week.
