Hi all
Sorry I went MIA around mid November but things were rather hectic at work and home. I weighed myself yesterday after having had breakfast and a shower etc and looks like I have put on 7lbs in that time so not too unhappy with that but will weigh myself properly on 6th January when we start.
Can you pop me down for 14lbs please Knitwitch. Many thanks0 -

Hi all
The scales have been kind to me and although I didn't lose anything, I didn't gain either. I didn't indulge very much at all at Christmas with puddings and chocolate, I just wasn't feeling it which is really unlike me
I made HM bread today in my new (xmas pressie) kenwood, so glad I wasn't kneading by hand!
B: Prunes
L: HM bread with mushroom and cheese sauce for dippingChicken and rice
Snack: HM bread and jam, 2 biscuits
It's been bucketing down all day but I did walk around the shops as we needed loo roll and dishwasher tablets. DH has the flu so I'm trying to avoid him as much as possible lol. Hopefully I won't get it too!
Have a good day all0 -
B - porridge with banana
L - tuna, peppers, avocado and cheese on toast plus grapes and apple slices
T - pasta with trout, peas and mayo mixed in. Yoghurt and honey.0 -
Hi there everyone
I've had a good day today as I went to the hospital to meet my dietician. He was really positive and helpful and wants me to go on his weight management course. I have to wait for my doctor to refer me but that should be something to look forward to in the Spring. Meanwhile, I am going to carry on calorie counting and also watching my portion sizes to try and get as healthy as possible.
I have just spoken to my darling daughter on the phone and she sounded much chirpier today. My hope is that she will be well enough to come home soon. Although I am wanting to lose weight for lots of reasons, she is my primary focus at the moment.
My meals today haven't been too brilliant but I will do a lot better tomorrow. My menu has been:
b - toast and fried eggs
l - 1 BLT, 1 prawn and 1 chicken salad sandwiches, 1 packet of baked crisps
d - beef stroganoff and rice
A very carby day indeed but fantastic diabetes news for me, my last blood sugar test showed that my HbA1c had dropped from 120 to 50...nearly normal :T:T. I am very happy about that and want to build on those results to try and get within normal range and then reduce my medication.
Hope you have all had a great day xx0 -
TiredTrophy wrote: »Ooh dumpling...I'm playing with a bullet journal too!...DH got fed up with lists on envelopes everywhere so I had it as a surprise Xmas present. I am using a book with blank pages not grids or dots.
As I cannot draw, it really is very basic...but I am enjoying watching youtube vlogs of lovely pages and makes a change to looking at recipes!
I had never heard of a bullet journal until I read your post, and went off to google it, I think I'm hooked, I love notebooks, pens paper and diaries and this looks like a brilliant idea to keep it all together. Dd informed we that they were very popular last year, I have spent the weekend looking at pens and notebooks and on Pinterest looking at gorgeous ideas. Trouble is I'm trying for more no spend days and now I NEED a new notebook and pen!'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. I hear you....i just got stuck in with a notebook I already had and a pencil....
I have just accepted a short term contract in the UK!...
I start next week. DH stays here.
Going to have to be so careful with the healthy eating....and stay well away from pasty shops:eek:
Then I got the present from DH0 -
Mmm. Not sure how Baked Camembert with crusty bread and cold meats fits into my diet.
Until then I was quite good.
Bought loads of YS healthy stuff today so hoping that will help.
Dumpling good news about the dietician and also that Becky is feeling better.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Happy new year to all.
Glad things are a bit more positive Dumpling
Unsurprisingly the scales showed what a lovely Christmas break I had enjoyed! Time to get back into it so please put me down for 7lbs for the next challenge KnitWitch.
The fridge has been cleared of leftovers apart from a little bit of Christmas pudding and brandy butter. I go back to work tomorrow and have worked out a slightly longer route for the daily dog walk so that I can walk 1000 miles with dogs this year as a target.
