It's no good. I have completely lost the plot. I just hope that I don't put on too much while I'm in this frame of mind.
Menu planning is out of the window.
I have just watched the programme on Slim People. Well, that's that then. I'm a hopeless case. I'm not a fidgety person, in fact fidgetting was frowned upon when I was a child,. I don't even move when I'm asleep, apparently. Added to all these failures I was obviously born without the right sort of bacteria in my gut. So the fact that I'm a lazy lump who finds it almost impossible to lose weight and keep it off is NOT MY FAULT. Honest guv.
mallygirl, I'm with you on the matter of vinegar. Wonderful stuff. There isn't much that can't be improved with a huge slug of vinegar, although I've never tried it on ice cream.I believe that friends are quiet angels

I never use vinegar except for cleaning but I'm intrigued - what sort of vinegar do you use? How do you use it and on what?
Better day today after losing the plot yesterday. Didn't feel at all hungry so it was easier to keep to my plan.
B non-existant
L ditto above but I had a coffee
4.30pm cup a soup
D roast pork loin, loads of vegetables, SF jelly with yogurt stirred through it before setting. 2 squares dark chocolate.
loads of water and another 3 coffees throughout the day.
Meal plan done for the next 7 days, and shopping for the bits and pieces is tomorrow.0 -
I cannot sleep 😲 I'm always like this before a long journey 😡
And when I am tired I tend to graze.
Have a good weekend all.

We are a split household on coleslaw so I cut the veg and people add their own dressing. I prefer vinaigrette but make it with balsamic so I can have a much higher proportion of vinegar to oil. DD prefers mayo but I buy the reduced fat version - not the lightest version as that is awful. Alternatively I have '70% less fat' salad cream (I prefer salad cream to mayo anyway because I like vinegar a lot).
Funnily enough my husband suggested salad cream after I'd made it, the balsamic sounds nice though I might try that myself next time and salad cream for him and ds, dd is not fussed either way!'You have brains in your head. Hello,
congratulations to everyone who achieved a loss this week and to those who didn't... just put it behind you and try again
The day I signed up to this challenge I lost the plot at work and scoffed 4 packs of mini biscuits
Felt really disappointed with myself that evening knowing I'd gain lbs he next day ... and I did, so had a stern word and told myself that I can undo the 'damage' by trying again.
I've managed to keep to my calorie budget since then and was really pleased to see that I've lost 1lb this week.
Weekends are my downfall... the co op and it's huge selection of delicious breads is but a 5 minute walk away ( not even far enough to burn a decent amount of calories getting there and back :rotfl:) so I'm going to try having a brunch each day rather than breakfast and lunch.
Sorry for waffling on, I'm a bit of chatterboxSAVER0 -
Arrietty, if you want a companion who also has verbal diarrhoea look no further.
Zafiro, about vinegar........I refer to the ordinary brown malt sort. However the modern vinegar is a pale imitation of the vinegar I used to enjoy as a child. I used to take an empty lemonade bottle down to the off-licence and they would fill it with vinegar from the barrel. I remember once walking home with my precious cargo when the siren went, signalling a daylight raid, or it may have been a doodle bug. Anyway, terrified I took to my heels and managed to get home with the bottle still intact.
These days I tend to buy pickling vinegar, it seems to have a bit more oomph than the ordinary bottles.
How do I use it? Let me count the ways..........
On salad
In salad sandwiches. OK it makes the bread soggy and the sandwich needs careful handling but very tasty.
On fish, that I'm not keen on the taste of, but I know it's good for me and doused in vinegar it is at least palatable.
On chips.mmmmmm!
In the form of mint sauce it enhances almost any meat.
A spoonful of mint sauce in a boring soup lifts it from run of the mill to divine.
If you have a sprout hater in your family a sprinkle of vinegar takes away the ouch factor.
A teaspoonful will stop hiccups dead in their tracks. If you can't face that, a few drops on a spoonful of sugar will have the same effect.
My aunt used to dab vinegar on wasp stings, but there I prefer Anthisan.
My grandmother said that in Victorian times she and her sisters used to take vinegar as a slimming aid. This has never worked for me.
I'm sure that there are are many other ways I use it but that will do to be going on with.
What was that you were saying Arrietty?I believe that friends are quiet angels
