Bought 100 foil trays, with lids, for £8.25 delivered from eBay (have checked dimensions etc are all correct).

    So, new total, £190.26/£300.

  • Hello, came back from debt-took five years or so and staying within safe spending limit, saving some money each month, but still feel that I waste money on poor management of food budget and would be good to manage on less-think I can do this if I make more of an effort. Please put me down for £320 for August.

Hello, first spend of the challenge: £32.54 - this was enough meat, fruit and veg to get me through the week, and includes cat litter (which has been creeping up in price! Four quid for Tesco's own??), and shave gel.

I didn't deviate too much from my list and I definitely paid more attention to prices thanks to this challenge. I should be OK now til at least the weekend, as all meals are now planned and ingredients bought, so I'm on track to stay under my £50 spend for this week.

Hello! I'd like to sign up with the challenge of £200 please!

I don't know about anyone else, but my absolute Achilles heel is prepping for my work lunch - this month I managed to spend around £30 just on lunches alone on top of the usual shopping  Laziness in the evenings is my downfall....I'm going to give myself £10 over the month to spend on treats and see how I do...:o Although today I have already spent £3.50 of that

The £200 is going to include all food and toiletries (like someone else has said previously - basically anything bought from a supermarket) - this is genuinely going to be such a challenge!!

I'm going to aim for £225 for August

I was £55.23 over my £200 spending for July, which included £20 of kibble for the pooch which I won't have to buy this month so I think £225 is a good challenge. I'm going to aim for a below £200 month before Christmas!
