Did get the steriliser on eBay last night though, and already got an opening bid. Also put the Boots No7 voucher on there that we got with our shopping, so hopefully that sells too. Got some other bits to put on, most baby stuff we no longer need, but also going to sell my beloved sewing machine. I have no space to use it in, and no time either, so it might as well go to a good home and be used![/COLOR]

I definitely don't NEED a new sewing machine (I already have 4) but I have to ask what it is - if you don't mind telling me that is.....

Hairdresser's this morning (not out of GC budget) and a quick shop next-door in the C!op. I only wanted a box of dried peas and some milk, but of course had to browse - as you do ( ;) ) - to see if there were any ys items and there were. I bought 4 cod fishcakes, 2 snack pork pies and 2 small'ish steak pies. We usually share one of these as there's enough to make a dinner with the addition of potatoes & veg and they're now in the freezer. We're having 2 of the fishcakes for dinner tonight, the other 2 are in the freezer. We'll have the snack pork pies tomorrow for lunch with cherry tomatoes Anyhoo, total spend of £6.05 so pleased with that. :)

I need to add on a few spends, but need to look at receipts first. Less than £10 though. I don't remember the last time I did a weekly shop!

Roast chicken for dinner tonight, all from stocks - chicken, broccoli, parsnip and swede from the freezer, carrots and spuds from the fridge, and gravy and stuffing from the pantry. I've given all bar a sandwich's worth of chicken to oh, as I'm going away tomorrow. Still, he gave me 10 sticks of rhubarb...!

£35.45 spent on coffee. Figured being as I have to pay for shipping, I may aswell get two lots and make it last. Tried normal jar of coffee, but not nice; so can't wait for these to arrive.

  • Had a little score today: was at my OH's and he still had a full box of Earl Grey tea. I tend to drink one every morning - switching between EG and English Breakfast Tea and I completely ran out of EG (still have tons of BT left though). So I just asked if I could take his box and he was fine with it.

    Literally saved 2,99 € and I'm happy :D

Well after totting up this months spends I can honestly say I've burst my budget however I have decent stocks and I had forgotten it was a longer month than normal with DS being home too (and needing lunches and snacks). I'm not officially finished until 24th but I only have a few things I'll need between now and then. Next month I WILL do better haha!
I have got a few bargains stashed in the freezer now - tonight I picked up 2 packs of stir fry veg for 5p each, 2 packs of cooked shredded pork for 10p each and 2 finest ciabatta for 16p each! I will base some meals around these. I've also bought a cheap spiralizer (sp) so I can cut down on my spaghetti intake (I'm going to try courgette instead) and can make nicer looking homemade stir fry veg.

Anyway I think I'll still come in at under £30 a week for the past 6 weeks so not tooooooo bad. Not going to beat myself up as its the first GC I've done in years. Good to keep receipts and see where I'm going 'wrong'.

ETA - just remembered I bought some Xmas bits in my shopping too which I havent taken outof the budget (different budget for that) so I've def come in below £30 a week :D

Another £2.25 spent on 4 lemons and some extra sugar for making bramble jelly yesterday, just cross I had to shell out for Tesco express ones instead of remembering to get some from aldi. Hopefully I'll end up with 5 or 6 jars though.
Had 3 NSD so far this week, mainly because the food purse is staying at home! :D
    Off to update Sig.

    It's this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Brother-INNOVIS-35-Innov-NV35/dp/B00BMLFIVW

Though obviously I wouldn't be selling it at full price! lol. I also have an extra foot, a walking one, I'll be selling with it and a bunch of extra reels and threads.

I love it, but as I say, no space or time and we could really use the money to boost the car repair/replacement fund.

Late posting this month due to hols, which were great but more expensive than I'd thought for food. Surprising what you spend when nothing "in stock"!

So £260.47 so far this month. After someone posted a link to the "£40 a month" thread I have been reading that and going to do a plan for the rest of the month...
    GC Feb 2019 (to 10th) £397.07/£300
