  • Went to anither supermarket today since I need some cruelty free / vegan skin care and my local one doesn't have that  So I got 2 make up removers, dental floss and a few more things. I even got to tubes of glue cause I ran out of mine - just when starting a new scrapbooking project of course. I got two slightly smaller ones and they were the same price as ONE big tube.

I'm so happy that I stuck with my shopping list and didn't buy anything I didn't need :T Puts my total to 76 € now but that's okay. I'll be settled with the things for a while :cool:

How're things going? We finally did our big shop yesterday, £45.80 at Mr T's and another £11.99 at Lid! That brings our total spend to £94.54/£105.

I could probably rationalise the Lid! spend out of one of the non-grocery funds. They were selling moth-repellent cedar rings for £1.49 a pack, so we bought four packs. We also bought a set of secateurs for £2.49. For now, though, I won't bother. We've still got £10.46 left and nothing much left that we need to purchase for the month so that should last us.

Shopping done for the week, came in at £58.18. Lid! was £37.64 and I then went to Sains for the remaining items that Lid! didn't have which was £20.54.
I was quite impressed with the quality of the fruit and veg from Lid!, I'm quite picky about my fruit and veg, I usually use Wait..

    Just in case anyone's interested
However, just wanted to drop by and mention my frugal day. Kids had a YS pizza from the freezer tonight for dinner (with raw carrot/cucumber/red pepper) which was 26p. Nipped into Tesco whilst they were swimming and managed to get a pack of four avocados for 19p and a pack chopped butternut squash (which I'm going to make into soups) for 10p! Haven't had bargains like that for ages,
    Keep going everyone

  • Quick drop-in shop for cat food and cereal this morning. Wouldn't have got the cereal if I hadn't been stopping anyway, so maybe I should have made them eat what's left in the cupboards instead, but it's done now. Also caved and bought bread: we have a new dog that's taking up a lot of time at the moment, and baking bread is becoming a bit of a struggle, esp in the cold weather because it takes so long to rise. We'll get back to it.

$577/950. This is too tight, really, because it means the next two weekly shops have to be under $2300 each with no top ups, and I don't have a lot of bulk stuff in. We'll see.
MFW diary here. 1 Feb 2017 $229,371 - MFD Feb 2043  aiming for May 2028
    14 August 2017 - Refinanced: $220,000
    January 2019 $211,580 Current MFD 31 June 2036

Well, popped to Mr S this morning for more dr pepper....., some WW yoghurts and some bread. Came to £4.10, but I used £2.50 worth of Nectar points, so only spent £1.60.

    New total: £303.23/£300

I also have about £20 odd to add on there from a Boots shop yesterday for vitamins for DH & DD (vit d), but receipt is at home I think.

Anyway, DD is miserable after her jabs :( Feel like such a meanie!

Did get the steriliser on eBay last night though, and already got an opening bid. Also put the Boots No7 voucher on there that we got with our shopping, so hopefully that sells too. Got some other bits to put on, most baby stuff we no longer need, but also going to sell my beloved sewing machine. I have no space to use it in, and no time either, so it might as well go to a good home and be used!

Doing well so far, just £33 odd spent. Running the freezers down and trying to use up stuff but in quite desperate need of a big shop;just trying to make do. Have a Tesco.voucher I can use, so may stock up on plant milk (as running out)and some other vegan staples. Will try and report back, but constantly.busy. not even much time to browse any more.

£24.80 in tesco, 30 thighs in 7 boxes, 1 a day for dog, 5 reduced pork ribs, 4 choc, t.v. mag and 8 tubs of flora coconut oil spread, on special £1, 35p coupon in mag so end up 65p, all gone into freezer. £7 on car clean, it`s £5 but I always give them a pound each as I think it`s a miserable job. worth it to me about once a month.
Do I need it or just want it.
