    Hi gang

Glad you got to your appt Dawn. Bet it's a weight off your mind hearing you don't need any treatment at this stage. :grouphug:

My good NHS news is that it looks like OH has been referred to the guy he needs to see even though our GP originally told us he couldn't refer him as it's out of his boundary. Yay! Small steps.

In other money-saving news, one of my best pals is moving from Dubai to Brussels - much closer to home and much cheaper for me to visit. :D I've never managed to get to Dubai but I think I can easily do Brussels with £40 flights rather than £400. :T

Just noticed the time - better run and get to work......

    Morning everyone

Hugs to ally, cooties mum and CCL

Sounds like they are on top of things dawn after your appointment. It's good they are working alongside your GP always helps alot-mine just panics!!

Not feeling 100% still and I'm not sure if something sinister is going on with my foot and leg. Could be fighting to keep myself out of hospital on Friday but will take a packed bag just in case. He's a specialist not to be trifled with and might have to involve some bargaining.
Sorted out the ironing pile yesterday-2 huge mount ironing everest piles. Did a little and thought doing a little and at a slow pace was better than doing none at all.........i did dodge it for awhile though
Signed up ready for the new RM unaddressed mail survey and I start back on the panel next month.
    NSD yesterday
Going to see my new car today and it's new adaptations to make sure everything works properly for the wheelchair. Going to do that after DD sports training. DD can drive but will be nice getting out for some fresh air.
A small amount of paperwork to do before I go
Just about to start cat cleaning-DD woke me up at 2am this morning, her cat had been sick everywhere and again this morning. Think a bug is going round with the cats aswell at the minute.there has been an awful lot of cat cleaning the past couple of days.
Have a good day everyone x

Today is day 1 summer holidays :) it is my firm intention for the days I am not working throughout the summer me and madam will have stay vacation days. I really want her to experience that feeling that the summer hols span an eternity full of fun memories :)

Today's activity is a day out at Margate beach - which 20 mins down the road for us. Sand castles, paddling, maybe creature hunting (there's a little rock pool) & packed lunch. Ending in an hour in the arcades - I have a bag of 1ps about £1.50s worth :) and an ice cream it was a lovely day :D and I spent a total of £3.75 :money:

Right now though madam is happy enough playing in the garden with her dolls giving me a bit of a chance to straighten up and get a few jobs done :)done but it's already a mess again!

Have been to the allotment this morning for an hours tidying/hoeing. Came home with 1 courgette & 1 strawberry :) Have picked a cucumber and a few toms at home

[STRIKE]load of washing about to hung out and another in[/STRIKE]

oh has last night's lo for lunch. I made a squash, potato and tomato bake (with white sauce and hullumi) it was so great! Am going to slice, peel and freeze rest in portions for this again :)

looked up some ideas for a glut of cucumbers :) oh what problems to have, how lucky we are to have too much food!

looked up ways I could save my work sandals - scuffed at the toes but don't want to buy anymore till 70% sales ;)

[STRIKE]checked meal plan - hm pizza (using scraps of gammon lo & frozen) for madam & oh, hg salad and dough balls in the freezer. Will make double potion of dough and freeze 1/2[/STRIKE] Having with coated courgettes fried mmmmmm

[STRIKE]quick spruce round kitchen.[/STRIKE] basic flylady lounge at some point.

ok that'll do! Happy days guys xxx

    Hello everyone!

I've been AWOL recently and things have just been busy with the kids and expenses haven't stopped.
You would think having the kids on holidays would be less expensive but in fact they just bleed you for more and more money :( Today would have been a NSD however DD needed £10 to buy a new pair of trainers to take to NCS this week.

    Other than that today:

    * Did 2 lots of washing and hung outside to dry
    * Made a raspberry breakfast loaf
    * All meals from home
    * Drinking lots of water from home fridge filter

That's it for now. Got an overnight trip to Geneva on Thurs which I'm looking forward to and after that I will definitely be curbing the spending!

    Have a good evening x

    Evening all :)
    HK, do take care :(
La E, hope your OH is ok
DNMS, love the sound of your day at the beach :)

Had emotional daughters to deal with today :( My condition sounds worse / more dramatic than it is, unfortunately - I had to tell them, but thought I had kept it low key. In this instance, Google was not their friend, concerned at the younger one, who is pregnant, upsetting herself :( Anyway, took time to assure them that I am in fact perfectly ok :)

Apart from that, lots of rushing about today:
Small load of washing dried on the line :) Unfortunately these things will need ironing
Went to sales unit to restock. Not much sold, will have to start ebaying again :(
Did some shopping, used a 300 extra nectar points coupon plus another for an item I bought
OH came back with gifted cucumber - pity I had bought one, but I do like cucumber sandwiches :)
All HM meals, after yesterday's tasteless bought sandwich debacle!
    Used garden vegetables :)
DD2 gave me my biscuit tin back with black and red currants inside - she has frozen loads and couldn't be doing with this small mixed batch :) GD was most insistent I fill it with biscuits again to take home :rotfl:
Picked a few more cherry tomatoes :)
Went looking at more cars today, and decided to trade out 2 old ones in for a much newer one - big outlay (despite the trade in) but will be moneysaving in that we will only have to maintain, tax and insure 2 vehicles instead of 3
Watered front garden, still to do back, really hot and humid here today. Wonder if we will get a thunder storm??
  • Evening every one

    Evening all :)

Sorry there are so many with various health problems at the moment but thank heavens for our wonderful health service and long may we keep it!

I took in breakfast lunch and snack today, I didn't feel like cooking tonight but they had a YS pack of Tex Mex dips and I knew we had cheese at home so I bought some tortillas and we had those with melted cheese on top with dips.

I have now been booked until the end of August which means struggling in during the refurb of Waterloo. It is a five week month which is good news for me both pay and season ticket wise and I am considering buying a first class ticket to make it more bearable. On the other hand I am thinking I should pay off as much debt as I can while I can.

The local job I applied for (which would start in September) have emailed to ask if I want to go in for a chat. The money is a LOT less than I am earning now but it would feel more secure and I wouldn't have hefty train fares to pay. I need to do some sums.

I got a free bottle of Zoflora today :T

I was planning on picking some of the blackberries in the bushes at the end of our cottages tonight but its raining so maybe tomorrow, I saw a stranger picking them at the weekend and was most affronted :rotfl: I prefer raspberries but I'm sure they'll be great in muffins (it's all gone a bit muffintastic here at the moment, I have more wild strawberries too.)

I went to Prim@rk in my lunch hour for jeans for DS, I also bought myself a new purse as the zip is broken on mine and coins keep falling out.

Have a good evening all :)

Morning :) I've been up an hour! Jeez pride comes before a fall! I was just mentally congratulating myself yesterday that I seem to be sleeping until a normal time recently and today I wake up at 4!

ah last day off of work before being back manically busy for the next 2 days. Madam is going to mil's this morning and I am hoping to go to a bootfair and to the allotment. But both will depend on how much the weather clears up...

Today when I pick up madam we will be going swimming (using membership ;) ) possibly as I'm that end of town I'll nip in to MC and get her some trainers

    meal from plan

currently soaking chickpeas to make some falafels later. Might make a batch of wraps if I feel up to it. Argh must make courgette cake!

Going to call into a garden centre - highly recommended by allotmenteers! - and see if there's any transplants worth picking up to extend growing season.

drop off some clothes to charity

    checked banking & received £4.40 int :)

    crazy hour flylady

been looking at gift basket ideas for childminders. Think I'm going to get/make them (there's the Cm and her assistant) a basket with a bottle of fizz each, maybe some fancy biscuits/chocs and a pot of home made sugar scrub each. A bit pricey but madam stops going there (except for holidays) come Sept and they have been such a source of support over the last 3years.

    [STRIKE]read Martin's email[/STRIKE]

call in to dgd's school to pick up uniform ordered and drop off some forms

Ok that'll do! Happy hump day guys :)
