    A nsd today hooray!!!!!
I also did half a day's overtime today which will be paid at the end of the month (as long as I put my time sheet in, which I will) landline phone bill dd paid, so a tilly tidy from that.
Decorator paid last night, That pot is sitting at -£20 at the moment, will be sorted on Friday though.

Tomorrow is a wfh day, I may be going out in the evening so it probably won't be a nsd.

Today has not been a nsd and it will not be an no spend evening. Going out with some girly friends to a shopping centre. Last time I did this I did manage not to spend anything, but tonight I've got a couple of bits on my wish list. We'll see what happens.

Let's go back to last night, and the girly night out at the shopping centre. I spent £3.75 in total - woo hoo.
But that was on only 1 slice of cake!!! Extravagant. Totally - and actually not that nice, a bit disappointing.
It was interesting watching the shopping habits of my friends - the look of awe on their face when I whipped out my phone to update the ynab app as they are handing over their cards saying 'I hope this works' oh dear!
Then, onto today. No work today, and no spends either. Hooooraaayyyy.
I wish I could say I indulged in lots of self care or was very productive in the house, but sadly neither are true, I did a few house works bits this morning then a friend, who I've not seen for ages, came round, she was filling me in on Post PhD life.

This evening I need to pack my bags for an early start on the train tomorrow, move the car seat over to hubby's car and finish the house work jobs started this
    Morning.

oh Dear, I didn't think I'd missed as many days as I have. Never mind. I've not completely fallen off the wagon.

I need an early night after a productive morning having a good sort out in the loft/office. Trip to the tip and some decluttering. I did do some food shopping so not a nsd.

I have just realised that, between the money in the 13 stamp plan, money put aside for annual bills and for Christmas, I have the equivalent of 1 year of my salary from my main job. I think that's pretty good going. Ok, it's a small salary, but it's all relative isn't it?

I get to close down July's spends on Friday night as I'll open up the money I've put aside for our Lake District visit. I definitely don't want to add the additional money to the normal spends as it will just get wasted. Once I've put
Money in the various pots it does tend to stay there.

Sat here avoiding the last of the football, it really does look like the boys will be coming home Sunday morning. a shame, but they have excelled themselves in this tournament. I actually think this team have been proud to represent their country.

Why am I wittering on? Because there is no money news in the Wish household. A nsd, a work day a day in the life of a mfw. Just two days left of July's normal budget, then I switch to the special 'away from home budget. This I why I'm diverting as much as I can to the expensive end of the 1p a day challenge, all the £3.?? Are now done, so it's gettin 'cheaper' to do the challenge.

Ive lost patience, as usual and have closed down my normal July budget for spends today. I'll round up at the end of the month as usual. I've got cash in my purse for any spending I may need to do this afternoon and tomorrow morning, then a different pot of money to keep us going throughout the next three weeks.
Today I've got loads of jobs done, decluttered a lot and just had a fabulously energizing shower. I've topped up the 1p a day pot and emptied/filly tidied the general spends categories into the mop pot and the 13step plan. All very exciting for me!

I did write a post last night, but evidently didn't select post properly. Never mind.
We have arrived in the lakes and settled into the house. Hubby can't do anything right as far as I'm concerned at the moment, so that's my issue rather than his. Last year I very nearly came home at least twice over the three weeks as, every night, as soon as he'd officially clocked off from working he headed to the pub with the rest of the team. I got very annoyed to say the least as I was stuck in the house all day and all night and it got very lonely. We've been here two nights, he's been to the pub two nights (friday night to 'celebrate' the end of the install and last night to be social with the team here for the first week) tonight is crunch time. He hasn't slept well either night, was up and down to the toilet last night so he needs to come back straight after work tonight and go to bed. We'll see. I'll be very cross if he thinks he can catch up on sleep this afternoon (therefore leaving me sole parenting all day) and then go to the pub tonight.
Anyway, none of that is very mse is it?
So my budget for these three weeks is £600, just under £170 spent on the supermarket order for the majority of the food we'll need, as well as toiletries & nappies etc. I took £50 out on Friday night which paid for our fish & chip tea (food order wasn't booked in until post Pickle bedtime) it also paid for the fresh fruit & veg from the market and some nice sausages and bacon from the butchers. Still some cash left. I'm going to keep a tally of my daily allownece left - very similar to what I did last year when I first came back to the board.
So: starting today my daily spending allowance is £17.80 - I'm going to track this rather than nsds until I get home. (Yesterday if I'd tracked it, it would have been £17 a day - once cash is out of the bank its counted as spent to me, I don't track cash in the same way as I do my digital money in the bank) I will continue to tilly tidy the odd pennies from the total amount in order to keep the mop pot ticking along.

A nsd yesterday, which is pretty much unheard of while we're here. So my daily allownece of 'money still in the bank' has gone up to £18.70 - I love the fact it's a little bit of digit reversal of yesterday's amount.
Today won't be an nsd - going out for ice cream with some of hubby's techs. But, I may be able to just use the cash I've got rather than depleting the bank account a little.
The last milk delivery bill for the month is in, so I was able to tilly tidy to the mop pot and add to the 13 step plan. I need to get my additional hours and expenses form done for work this week as my boss goes away on Friday and it won't be authorised otherwise.
I think I've already hit the 20 transactions in a month from my debit card, so I should get a £5 bonus at some point. Tha would be nice.
Rain is forecast for today. Which will be lovely, it's been lovely it being so hot. But all the grass I've seen really does need it.

Another 'I haven't touched the bank account' day. Great news. Ice cream out, but paid cash. Loaf of bread purchased, but paid cash. I've got about £10 left in cash so that should be fine for tomorrow.
Daily bank account allowance has gone up to £19.68. So,
If I don't touch the account tomorrow I could take £20 out of the account on Wednesday without it affecting my daily amount.
