Make popcorn yourself in a pan with a lid. Just pop it in a heavy based pan and put the lid on. When it startrs popping, shake the pan gently to keep it moving til the popping noise stops. then add salt, no oil or butter!
Soup is great as a snack and really filling. Make a big pan and eat over 2-3 days (though I've polished off a pan in a night many times). Add 2 tins tomatoess, 2 veggie stock cubes, 1 litre water, handful frozen chopped onion, 1/2 bag frozen casserole veg, 1 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp mixed dried herbs. Bring to boil, simmer for 30 mins then blend with hand blender, or mash with potato masher. Makes a huge giant pan-full! Season with black pepper to your personal taste.

Home-made parsnip crisps are yum!! I haven't made them for ages but from memory -
* peel slices of parnsip (using a potato/vegetable peeler)
* toss in small amount of olive oil
* season if liked (I don't!)
* spread parsnip slices on baking tray & bake until just turning golden brown - doesn't take long - quite a hot oven (200?)
You could google the recipe if you are unsure of my vague instructions!
Anyway, they are lovely & crunchy with the 'sweetness' of parsnip so great for a healthy snack.0 -
If you get a nice ripe banana, cut it in half and put a lolly stick in it, then clingfilm it and freeze it, it really is like eating ice-cream (and it's much healthier than Ben and Jerry's lol). It needs to be a nice banana though, don't do it with under-ripe ones as they just taste horribly bitter.0

Good old fashioned angel delight made with skim milk
You can freeze it too if you want something a bit more ice-creamy but with less fatworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
It's got to be cheap and healthy. I tried switching to raisins but ate a lot and they're sweetened. I thought about carrot/cucumber and dips, but I'm not sure what dips are low fat?
Any tips would be great!

is she allergic to all fruit or just specific types of fruit?
I would batch bake some gluten free biscuits for her and take a few bits for everyone else. Would save a lot of hassle if you could pop into a supermarket there to pick things up0 -

Heres a recipe for GF/CF brownies,do you want sweet recipes, savoury or a mix of both?
Sausage rolls would probably be ok for a day or so if they're well chilled or frozen when you take them.
Muffins, sweet or savoury (easy to make gf/cf)
Take some apples, grapes etc and chop them up for a little fruit bag while you're there.0 -
