Hello all, I'm back. Have tried catching up on the thread, but not read through all posts yet.
Had a good but very tiring time away. Not really on plan today, but preparing myself for back on plan tomorrow. Just having a lazy relaxing day today.Zebras rock0 -
:T well done dawyldthing. That's a great loss! If you're going to the hospital with your mum I suggest you plan for it. Hospitals can be really poor at healthy food in my experience although, pleasingly, our local one now has a Subway. I'd save your HEB and take some Alpen Lights or Benefit bars and some fruit like a banana or Satsuma and save all your syns in case you have to eat out.Hello all, I'm back. Glad you had a good time kathrynha. Welcome back.:)
It's another glorious day here. We're not doing much as I hate the roads on Bank Holidays. I might read a bit in the garden later.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: ham with fried veg and pickleschicken 'kievs' with SW chips, tomatoes, mushrooms and some green stuff (asparagus? sugar snaps? broccoli?)
Syns: squirt of syrup0 -
I wanted to but as it's been done quite quick (only found out last Monday) mums ex husband is going. I went to the pre op last Monday though. I'll be spending the day there in my mind wondering how she is mind and there's a meeting Wednesday at work so it's going to be a long day. Thank you though maman:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

I think it's because I'm using less frying oil (for like the red potatoes and mushrooms etc I'm putting them in the oven without oil and they taste well nice). I just can't believe after all these years cutting oil down and cutting down on butter and chicken kievs is working mind:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

Cookiepops wrote: »Thanks! I am only shopping for 2 of us!! I normally spend around £70 per week. I think this is just start up costs because I bought lots of meat, pasta and slimming work meals. I would like to try to find a cheaper cereal though to have for my breakfast, I was in ASDA ith my slimming world book and all the branded cereals it recommended weren't cheap. Also I need to find somewhere that does Muller Lights a bit cheaper, I got 8 for £4 in ASDA
If you go to Morrison's they have Nestle Bitesize Shredded Wheat 500g at £1.25 Healthy B choice.
If you go to Tesco they have Danone Light & Free Greek Style Yogurt 4 for £1.25 syn free. We go for the cheapest syn free yogurts as we eat so many of them. I have 3 a day and hazel has 2

Congratulations Abbafan and here's hoping you win at the presentation!
Cookie do you have an Aldi nearby? I'm a confirmed Aldi shopper - many of their products are equivalent SW wise to the branded products but cheaper. There are many lists of their free/low syn products if you Google it. I spend around £70 per week (sometimes less) to feed 2 of us with another adult and child probably twice per week and we eat well. This also includes cleaning products and most basic toiletries.0 -
Hi all
I have STS again. At least its not a a gain but I thought I would've lost a little this week I have also discovered a liking for sparkling flavoured water. It says it's sugar free. Is it syn free as the calories are only 2 per 250mls and it has zero sugar, zero everything else. I hope so I've just drunk a litre of it
and its only around 35p per bottle. Love a bargain
No excuses but I do have an under active thyroid which I take tablets for. I'm just wondering whether this is having an effect or am I just looking for excusesEmptying my lake with a teaspoon0 -

Ive got an under active thyroid. Doc upped mine by 25mg to 125mg and I should have gone for a blood test a few months after but just kept putting it off. Hoping she doesn't lower it after the blood test mind as I'll have to go for it next week and my brain fog and memory has been a lot better than it has for years. It can make a difference though. I'd stayed the same weight for years before losing it for Oz then putting it back on again:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

Thanks dawyldthing
I am on 125mg too. For a while mine was very bad and I went from 25mg up to 150mg then up to 200mg then lowered again. I seem to have stabilised on 125mg. When I was on 200mg I was like :j. I felt great but the GP lowered it again. I begged him to let me keep the 200mg and he refused lol. Spoil sport. I had so much energy it was unreal.
I must start exercising to help it along. I love swimming and think I will go back to it. If I'm brave enough to wear my cozzieEmptying my lake with a teaspoon0 -
Meant to say the other day that SW have now reviewed the Aldi Benefit bars and are happy that although the recipe has changed slightly they can still be used as HEB:j - I'm sure lots of people use them.
Have been at DD1s this morning helping with her garden - really hard work as it is so overgrown! DH & I will be going back again tomorrow to tackle the back garden:eek::eek:. Still at least it's a bit of Body Magic!
Today's plan (which is slightly different to what I'd originally planned prior to finding out we'd be at DD1's):
B - breakfast bake 6 syns - 5 syns for seeded bread 1 for LF sausages
L - 2 Ryvita; 1/2 Tbs HM hummous (1 syn)
D - Pork & potato bake (from freezer); cabbage, peas; will probably need to do extra potatoes as there isn't much on top of the portion I've got from freezer.
HEA - milk
HEB - Ryvita (0.5); Alpen Light (0.5)
