I too would like a separate investment board.0

A separate Investment board makes sense and may help people focus more on what they want to do with their money, namely save or invest.0

On the present front page of the S&I forum (excluding stickies) there are 19 threads, 13 on saving, 6 on investing.
That's probably fairly typical. There's certainly enough to justify a separate forum.Trying to keep it simple...0 -
Sounds like a good idea. Someone could always put a sticky on both the Savings board and the Investments board on 'The difference between Savings and Investment' and point people whichever way.0

If you did a shares board youd probably have to split it up like the motley fool into discussion about different companies and sectors as it would get to busy with all sorts of random company's around the world being discussed.
Probably the same for funds.
Martin might need to do a guide about managing risk though, and about the basics of the stockmarket such as -
You can lose all your money. Tips are worthless. Eggs and the basket. Good books etc. Dont trade less then 1K, 3K better, etc etc.0 -
Hi folks
I don't cover investments and nor does the site. This site deliberately is about no risk issues. There are many good investment sites and forums out there - i dont see the need to duplicate them

I second that, and I've got lots of helpful tips about investing from this board
Also, there are a lot of discussions about investments in the Savings and INVESTMENTSBoard.
JMHO, but I think it would be good to weed such threads out for the very reasons stated in the above posts.
