Not addictive, it just means I can do my banking when and where I want. I don't have to be near a branch or at home with my laptop.0 -
I love having my debit card set up on Apple Pay, and my online banking app which I can simply log in to using my fingerprint without having to remember complex passwords! (Obviously for the full experience I would need to use my PC but the mobile app does most of what you need)0

I am that manI recently sold my car and haven't got round to replacing it as yet. But then I live in a London suburb with good bus services.
On the main point though, I value the convenience of being able to use my phone for financial transactions. I have four banking apps and three credit card apps on my phone. I also have all my debit cards and all my credit cards on Android Pay, except for the ones issued by Barclays as they use a separate pay by phone app. Their business of course and I have no issue with that but personally I don't want to change the NFC settings on my phone just to use a Barclays card. That isn't convenient. I'll carry the cards in my wallet if I want to use them.0 -

I love them too, i've got Barclays, Halifax, First Direct and Starling apps, They're so easy to use and so convenient. I've also got loads of other apps for shopping etc. The QVC app is my downfall0

Given that I have internet banking on my PC, I see no advantage in also having an app on my phone.Stompa0

I too am one of the 60% who doesn't feel the need to use a banking app.0

I have an old Nokia, used for emergency only and have no desire to pay for a phone that uses apps. I prefer my laptop as the screen is easy to read and I don't have urgent needs to do bank and other transactions while out and about.Given that I have internet banking on my PC, I see no advantage in also having an app on my phone.Superscrooge wrote: »I too am one of the 60% who doesn't feel the need to use a banking app.
You might not feel the same if you travel a lot. I'm currently in Athens & was on Andros island for the last 10 days. It's scorchio:p I also regularly travel long haul to Hong Kong & elsewhere.
A PC or laptop is great at home, but the apps on my phone are more convenient, meaning I can do any necessary banking when I'm abroad:beer:0 -
They're great for people who commute and can therefore use otherwise wasted time on chores.0
