Turn Heating On?

I bought the Hive control from BG last year. Spent 3 years manually using Viessmann wifi stat as couldn't set the auto settings correctly, now an absolute doddle and even controlled by mobile, tablet, wifi stat and Alexa.0

We are in our 70's and refuse to be cold, so the heating is on.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

It's still 19C in the living room so heating not needed. The fan will be on in the bedroom overnight as well.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Still cosy here - house still has some of last week's heat.0

I've had my heating on every evening this week and overnight, last night. I'm freezing so what is the point of not putting it on?
It's just as well I'm still on a cheap tariff, I'm in credit and don't have to worry too much about cost, as yet.
Things may be different when my tariff ends although heating is a main priority for me personally, unfortunately, whatever the cost.
It is a worry, though. At the back of my mind I'm thinking, I can't put the heating on - It's Summer and my bill is going to rise.Fred - Where's your get up and go?
Barney - It just got up and went.

It's 19oC in my sitting room this morning, probably the same or cooler in the bedroom, no heating on
It's felt a bit nippy in the evenings but a fleece has been enough and it's still too warm for me at night, just a sheet for me
But if you are cold then you are cold so put the heating on if you need to. We all have different comfort levels0 -
It's always 'on' but the thermostat has declined to send any hot water to the radiators. It's of the opinion that the house is already warmer than the set 'comfort' temperature, and the desk thermometer on my bedside table agrees with it!
I guess I've just got acclimatised to the heatwave just in time for it to end as usual, because it feels cold.3.6 kW PV in the Midlands - 9x Sharp 400W black panels - 6x facing SE and 3x facing SW, Solaredge Optimisers and Inverter. 400W Derril Water (one day). Octopus Flux0 -
I never turn ours off, but this week the thermostat has kept the radiators off. Some days, in the morning they take the chill off!0

Been pouring down for the last two days here in the south West. Managed to keep the heat off as bedroom temp 22deg c. I think the persistent rain makes you believe it's colder than it is, that's my excuse for keeping the heat off anyway.
yep the west gets a lot more rain/storms etc, you get the Atlantic fronts, but when they hit the uk they start turning north, so often the east is dry.
Its like 2 different countries for the weather between east and west.0 -
Have you all packed away your cardies? It's a bit fresher than last week and I'm feeling a bit run down so I've put on a light top, but on the souith coast there's been no need for heating.
This in fact is the time of year I get my chimney swept as I mainly use my wood burner for heat, although I've got GCH. In fact that's the only problem with summer, I can't snuggle up in front of the stove!0
