I had 3 sum plans, all increased and was given the option to cancel or continue. I cancelled. I have now been landed with my next bill of.... £312!!! The usual monthly was less than 30 quid. I've cancelled the direct debit to make sure y'all talk don't take the 312 off, which they are not entitled to anyway. I await their response. Talktalk are a shower of useless individuals and the worst customer service ever. My broadband will leave at the first opportunity. Anyone else had similar???0

so you chose not to move your services to another company, but cancel instead? I have mentioned my Early Termination fees above, the ETF's seem standard practive with talktalk. they charge you and th customer has to contact talktalk to have the charges overturned.
when does your BB end?Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0 -
yes, cancelled and moved to another provider. The choice to move or stay was given by talk talk with no mention of termination fees.
Unfortunately I still have about a year of broadband left.0 -
ok, so who did you join, how much per month etc.... no, you will not need to pay the ETF, but i would suggest calling them so they can take the ETF off for you,Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0

As expected and as per normal, I'm yet another victim of being overcharged by this shambles of a company!
2 x early termination fees, despite being correctly informed I was free to leave without penalty!
Almost £50 in charges and my next Direct Debit is almost 10x what it should be!
I'll go for the jugular later and will yet again raise this issue as a high level complaint and seek compensation. My account should have been fully noted as I advised them what would happen and it has. If I not offered adequate compensation, I'll ask for a 'deadlock letter' and pass it on to the Ombudsman. They've created extra work for myself, I'll create extra work for them!
Amazing how every time there is an issue with their bills, it's an overcharge! If they want to continually get it wrong, then just for once, get it wrong in my favour!
Incompetence or Cowboys? No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.0 -
wow, i have been trying to check my online bill since yesterday with TT with no success. are you able to check your online billing ?Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0

My bill was showing approx 2 days after my billing cycle.
That's where confirmation came of being overcharged, but totally expected.
I've resolved issues and had all overcharges wiped off and had a £20 credit applied to my account for compensation. As this was only done today, it will take a couple of working days to show.
But, this shambles of a company has lost two contracts and cost them £20.
My advice for TT Mobile, for what it's worth, is to leave things as they are, or offer better deals like their competitors.
Good luck to all fighting this 'regime'.No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.0 -

You can't use the word 'regime', it copyrighted by the British government and it's propaganda mouthpiece, the BBC, and can only be used against governments the British government doesn't like, wants to invade, or destroy like Iraq, Libya, Cuba, North Korea :rotfl:
The question I wanted to ask you was how you managed to get compensation out of them. I've just cancelled my broadband due to their price increase, so they'll probably try to charge fees even though i told the CS agent to make a note that i was leaving as per their email of price increase.0 -
I manage to get sdome compo from my landline with TT.
I started a new contract, always pay in advance, they took my promotional reductions away, and charge me full price for the remaining of my old tariff. I told them I was not paying, after going from CS to retention team, to a CS manager, I manage to get just under £25.00 from them, basically no line rental this moneth, or the high bill from last month, i am dead pleasedTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Basically, they are regulated.
I gave them the option of paying £20 compensation or giving a deadlock letter, which I would have escalated to the Ombudsman and let them decide on the level of compensation, if any. Remember, TT were totally at fault and that's despite advising them of what would happen. Overcharging is rife and it happened yet again.
It may well have cost them more in compensation, referral fees and obviously time if it reached the Ombudsman level. £20 is a low write-off level for a company of this size.
I was being nice.
Regime?
If I had used words I would have liked, MSE would probably ban me!No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.0
