But if you were loyal to them you wouldn't want to move, regardless of price. We can't have it both ways!

Possibly if they were treating me fairly, otherwise why on earth would I want to stay if I was being ripped off?

This just proves my point! They aren't ripping you off (unless of course they are now charging maybe double what other suppliers are).

People only stay loyal if they get the cheapest price. Thats not loyalty, thats money saving! It's not wrong, but people can't expect loyalty from businesses when they jump ship as soon as they can get it cheaper elsewhere.

If people want loyalty they should get a dog!

Ok, we have established I am not loyal. Also, I do not have a dog. Lets leave it there.
  • I haven't received an email yet. Have checked the junk folder also. Could it be that they are staggering the email?

It could well be. You could always give them a ring (its freephone anyway) and enquire. I found them to be very helpful. At least that way you will know

OP: it is a contract, but it's not a fixed price contract. Refer to the T&C's you agreed.Very few telcom contracts are fixed price-TT being the main exception.

Yes, you are absolutely right. I have to say though that I dislike this kind of a contract with a passion, and hope that more suppliers offer fixed contracts in the future in order to keep their customers. I wonder what is next for this kind of greedy contract where they put up prices just because they want to. There are millions of people in the country that wish they could do the same with their wages at the moment "Oh inflation is 2.9% so lets put up wages by that amount just because we can"

I just received the email about the increase. It's my billing date today so its going up from a month today for me.

Mine has been increased by 13.64%! From £22pm to £25pm.
I'm a mobile customer with them also so I get the discounted rates(!)
I'm exactly half way through my 18 month contract. At least they've given me 30 days from the date of the email to leave penalty free.

I don't know who else I could go to really. I was with Sky Fibre Unlimited before on the same 40/10 FTTC product.

Maybe Vodafone could refund me the £49 'connection fee' I had to pay as a set up fee since they keep harping on in the email and online about how good and competitive they are with their £0 set up fee compared with other providers to make me feel better about staying with them!

I can think of other providers who currently wouldn't charge me a set up fee to switch over to them on an identical product Vodafone. Are you listening? Probably not. Lol

I jumped ship, got a deal with Plusnet for £24.99 p/m. Paid the line rental upfront which brought it down to £22.50 (give or take) + £80 quidco cashback.

There is no loyalty on either side these days BUT, they would have kept me until the end of my contract (9 months), had they not hiked up the price.

How did you find about your price rise? Via an email? I take it their retention deal was no good?
