A typical event for me might go:

Friend: Do you like my room, I've redecorated it.
    Me: It's cream.
Friend: It's not cream, it's "branded name, funny paint colour, trendy name" bisque with a hint of saharan autumnal winds.
    Me: It's cream.
    Friend: But....
Me: It's cream, it was cream before. It's still cream.
Friend: No it's not, it's different.
    Me: It's cream to me.

    Google Earth

A number of years ago I had a go at getting this, but my PC was too ancient. It didn't bother me as I was happy enough with Maps/Aerial.

It suddenly occurred to me about half an hour ago "Hey, maybe I can get it now....." I have a faster PC, a much larger hard disk, I can watch TV on catchup... maybe now!"

So I've just gone there, see it ... which would be the first time..... and it nearly loads *sighs*. It's stopped at 4.46 billion years of 4.54 billion years processed. It was progressing smoothly/quite fast to that bit, then nothing.

I'll leave the tab open for awhile and see if anything happens.

Your DPD Driver is currently making delivery number 111, you are delivery number 113.

Your DPD Driver is approximately 30 minutes away from you.

So excited!!!! I'm betting <<30 mins as he's not far away.

    Edit:
Updated to 15 minutes, but I'm next and he's just round the corner. 5 mins maximum, unless he stops for a coffee.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Or, you were so busy updating this post you got engrossed in typing and missed him .... completely forgetting that last time you had a delivery the time shown was out (as it might be a robbery/security issue for him to be precisely trackable).

What've you been ordering this time?
Did you get permission from Er Indoors?

A new 9" angle grinder. It's truly frightening**, but ever so useful.
    DW disapproves.

** I know you worry about things quite a bit, so bear in mind that this frighten me. It's 2 kilowatts, all going into spinning a disc. :)

When used for cutting metal, it produces loads of sparks, so for best effect it should be used after dark with the lights out. ;)

Disapproves because it is dangerous or because you already have an angle grinder?

What does an angle grinder do? *wonders why angles need grinding*

If I were Er Indoors, I'd want notice of when you're planning on using it, but then I'd be all of a dither... what to do:

1/ Go out, don't have to worry ... but will worry all the time while out.
2/ Stay in, ready to call the ambulance, pacing back/forth imagining the horrendous personal and structural damages you could be about to inflict.

    :)

They make a hell of a din, producing sparks that fly out .... and sparks can, theoretically, land anywhere....

He probably just wants to shave 2" off a "handy piece of metal" in the shed that he's found a use for ....

Family history ... so haaaaaaard for me......

Just seen somebody posting a photo online of their family gathering... all 70 of them.

ITCHING to quip "well, your family's single-handedly to blame for the local housing crisis, eh!" ... but we all know that wouldn't go down well.

See.... learning. Thought it, didn't post that :)

The old one is worn out after 20 years.

As an example, the tenant at MIL's house lost the only keys to the side door of the garage. It's a high security Chubb lock, but the angle grinder cut through the bolt part of the lock in two minutes. It was then a doddle to replace it. The alternative was to call out a locksmith for £100.
