Be careful, because you might not get the fuel discount if you've already put the fuel in your car. You might need to buy the goods, get the voucher and then buy the fuel.
They will have non fuel parking places, so I'd park in one of those, buy the food, get the voucher, then move the car to a fuel pump.
Actually, I think I'm wrong...... I just had a look, and it says 'in the same transaction' so it does look like you need to buy food and fuel at exactly the same time. So yes, it does mean holding up the pump while you shop.(I just lurve spiders!)

If you have time to spare, the trick is to buy some ill fitting clothes and then return them.
Mr t is doing 10p off a litre for a 60 spend soi will be buying some ill-fitting electrical goods, easier to carry about and return than clothes. I also seem to have 20 coupons from their magazine each giving a free 6 pack of crisps but don't think that will count towards the 60 like it would in Mr w.I think....0 -
Been a bit of a day. Dad told the surgeon a few weeks back he wanted to go for the high risk surgery, they saw the surgeon last Friday, reiterated that they wanted to go ahead, were assigned to a different surgeon (long story involving annual leave) and left the hospital. Today we get a phone call from Colchester hospital (it's where this region's vascular surgery is done), checking everything is ok for the operation tomorrow...eh what?!!
We think someone forgot to tell dad that he was supposed to be having his operation tomorrow but told everyone else it was. Unfortunately he is taking some medication that has to be stopped 4 days before the surgery so it cannot go ahead tomorrow now but we know it is going to be soon, very soon, possibly even the tail end of this week or beginning of next week....just in time for mum's procedure booked for next Tuesday (she's had a rapid referral under the suspected cancer rules, so rapid it's being done in a private clinic instead of the hospital to fit her in in the timescale)
Re the operation, we know it is very high risk, we know there is a fairly high risk of complications so we have been getting our ducks in a row since we first heard of it. We've now done LPA's for mum and dad, checked their wills are still valid/sensible/coherent/covers all the bases and talked about life and death decisions and funeral arrangements. My brother unfortunately is unable to join in the discussions as it upsets him so much, my sister has surprised us with her clear thinking but then I think for her it is a way to take her mind off things at home as she is going through the mill with her youngest daughter who has recently been diagnosed with autism. Her husband is fabulous though and is so very supportive and is with her every step of the way, every appointment etc.
Due to what has been going on this year and to try to make Christmas a little more special, she is also planning on doing the Christmas day swim in aid of charity. She wanted to raise funds for the stroke unit but the swim is organised by St Elizabeth's Hospice, a cancer charity, she doesn't mind though, still an excellent charity and as we have history with cancer in this family (mainly on mum's side), one which is also close to our heart. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Last week, I got a voucher from Sainsbury's for a fuel discount. Usually they give a you a voucher for a few pence off a litre of fuel, and as I sometimes need to go close to where their fuel station is, it's good.
My local Tesco does this quite often - only trouble is, there's no filling station at my local Tesco.
If I were to go to the nearest (Barrow I think), I'd spend more in fuel to get there and back than I'd save using the voucher.0 -
Same for us Chris, constantly have the banners declaring so much off fuel but the nearest Tesco fuel station is 15 miles away!We made it! I wonder what sort of look you would get if you turned up on the forecourt to refill your hovercraft. Thanks, that thought will amuse me all day. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

You'd most likely not be able to get close to a pump, with all the forecourt junk stacked up and lying around... wobbly signs offering meal deals, sacks of kindling wood, waste bins, people inflating their tyres0
