Is there room for a gun turret though?

    LOL
I've never been to Nottingham, it's all "oop north" :)

Didn't you come from Norfolk or that sort of area? Part of Norfolk is actually further Oop Norf than Nottingham ;)

Yes the decking would have to go straight away and that awful vinyl floor, what on earth possessed them? Maybe thats why they're selling!

FYI, Notts is Midlands, not ooop North. Oop North is Sheffield upwards!!
Anyway, all I wondered is whether a long move would be of interest but I can see that it's not, I think we all like to be where we know if we have a choice. Though sometimes jobs bring us out of comfort zone to new regions and then after twenty, maybe thirty years you begin to know the area and start to feel at home. A bit.

Home is where you can relax ... and not have to continually be running up and down the stairs every 10 minutes and checking windows front and back to see who is about and if your car's being !!!!ed around with while it's on your private freehold land... :)

I just want.... room for a gun turret.

Nah, I'd just plump for a drawbridge, a portcullis and a piranha-infested moat.

Then put puppies your side of the moat ... to encourage them to attempt to cross, thereby future-proofing the area from generations of feral behaviour :)

What's wrong with me? I like the vinyl floor. :o
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

When it comes to decisions, I try to choose what I think DW wants, and she tries to choose what she thinks I want. The result is that we seem to be quite happy, but we are absolutely terrible at making decisions. Everything tends to end up rather neutral and boring.

So, when I saw that house in Nottingham with the statement vinyl, I thought great, that'll do nicely. :)

    You mean "5h1t floor!"

While it might be nice IF you've also got all the furniture and soft furnishings to match it ... and are happy to live with a blue theme for the rest of your life ... that's OK.

For most though, that floor will never go with any furniture/furnishings they've currently got .... and they'll struggle to buy the odd thing here and there without it clashing with that floor... and every visitor will give their "opinion" about it, whether asked for it or not :)

If you're the sort of person with pockets/skills/contacts to be able to replace that with what you like pretty sharpish, it's not a big deal ... but for many it'd be a case of living with that for life, or spending £2-3k on some other flooring of your choice at a time when you don't wish to spend anything as you've just bought a house :)

No idea what your budget is, PN, nor if you'd consider moving a distance but I saw this one, 3 bed detached, conservatory, one and a half bowl sinks, no island in kitchen but private drive and garage all for 250K in a nice village 5 miles south of Notttingham with good bus routes.

You could always choose on a room each basis.

    I'm afraid I don't do neutral. :D
COLOUR! That's what cheers Life up!

Nature is full of colour, (unless you live in the Arctic!) so why deprive yourself of it?
