New car has arrived at the garage ready for handover next week (needs some adaptions done first). They sent me a video of it pre valet, pre adaptions, pre everything....boy does it look good.

    Getting excited now.

You won't dare take it anywhere, or leave it parked, in case somebody spoils it!

I'm still like that with my current one, when I am at work I spend so much time looking out the front checking on the car.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I'm still like that with my 8 year old one. It's not that I'm particularly "car proud" it's just that "they're out there" .
Doesn't stop me using it though. Just keeps me being careful.

Your food waste is only collected every two weeks?

Nope our food waste is collected weekly. If like GDB we used the general waste bin then it would be two weekly which is not acceptable I don't think (I seem to remember at one point before recycling really came in the council just went from 1 bin collected weekly to one bin for everything collected every two weeks but had to roll back because of the smell and rats )
    I think....

I was like that, but then I scraped it myself, due to not having got used to it being so much wider than my previous car, and after that, I wasn't so bothered any more! :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's always good to get some good, honest damage ... then you're no longer worried at all :)

Mine's been biffed loads of times... little dents, big creases where the wind's ripped the door from my hands, scrapes.... *sighs* ... no point fixing anything as it occurs else you're back to the fear of square 1.

I've picked where I want to live .... again. New spot, it's got more of an identity than the 3-4 others that were on the shortlist... but there's nothing for sale there :) But there will be... I'm sure.

So many 2-4 new build properties popping up in odd corners, none with boundaries, all with that "should be banned" allocated stuff... I do NOT want a new build.

Neither do I want a "fully refurbished...." that includes carpets as the carpets they've chosen aren't what I'd choose ... and I've already chosen that I'd like something entirely different to carpets. So refurbishments (very few anyway) can be kicked into the long grass...

Whilst long grass certainly is entirely different to carpets I think you might find it just a tad impractical ;)
