Mine's not big ... but there might be a keen addict of it that's keeping it stocked in the one store.

Thanks.... it's ok, 'cos the big stores still stock the pudding, so it just means I can't walk to the Local if I fancy one, as they won't have it, I have to wait until I do a bigger car shop. You can't freeze them, so I can't stock up.
Waitrose still stock the beer, so again, it just means I need to hang on with a cactus tongue until I get to a Waitrose.
(I daren't get large stocks of it in, because I've no willpower, and it'd just get drunk. :( )

I will just keep topping up the freezer with the main, as soon as I get a space in it.

What's interesting is that other supermarket chains do both the main meal and the pudding, and they look the same as the Sainsy one, but the meal isn't anything like as nice, and the pudding is much sweeter, so I don't like it!

I'm intrigued... what's your favourite ready meal?

That's why I was so pleased to finally break my Pepsi Max addiction.

Loved it - so would wait until it was best price somewhere, then go out and buy 16-24 cans... and, as I had them, I then drank them all.... so was then desperate to find the next shop that had them at a good price.

I could get through 6 cans a day!

I eventually found L*dl ginger beer, 2l for 45p .... much cheaper and closer and always available at that price.... UNTIL ...

The CO2 shortage has made this disappear from the shelves, so I'm currently on bottled squash (89p/lite) mixed with bottled sparkling water (17p/2 litres).

Awaiting ginger beer to re-appear by magic. Tried Tesco's and it's not good... so didn't bother to try others.
Have you tried buying a good quality ginger cordial and diluting it with the sparkling water?

Or make your own? It's very easy with just ginger root, (if that's not too posh! :D), sugar, lemon and sparkling water. You can adjust the ginger or sugar content to suit your taste.

Anyway, am off to brave the elements now, on my c'n'c quest.
There are an awful lot of elements out there!

I'm attempting to reduce my caffeine intake.

That's means banning the Diet Coke/ Pepsi as its hidden caffeine. Very irritating when it's the cold drink of choice.

If GDB2222's fair is on the station platform, do you need to buy s train ticket to join? Do platform tickets still exist.

If I have to eat a ready meal, then it's the coop's sausage and mash.

Morning all. My dogs are away for the weekend with my DD. She and her DH would like a dog now they have a garden but they both work full time so it wouldn't be fair on the pooch, so they borrow my two most weekends now.

Re shoes, having had a knee op, I'd resorted to mainly flats but now have a foot condition which means no flats and shoe inserts. It's on my to do list to sort out my specially fitted out shoe cupboard (posh alert) and get rid of the flats.

Oh crumbs, if you can't wear flats or heels, what can you wear? i suppose you have to look for footwear with "a little bit of a heel"?

Yes, just a little heel. Found a smart pair in m and s this week, trainers and boots will be more difficult to source.

Not only is it free to go on to the platform, they had a man from the local railway company giving things away. I came away with two plastic season ticket holders, but he was also giving away lamp shades - well, he thought he was giving away buckets and spades for the kids, but we know better!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Some stations are much stricter. You have to pick up a special token to walk through Guildford station as it blocks the town centre from the suburbs.
