They aren't like the ones in Hot Shots, are they?

Those credited anybody and everybody they could think of, included a recipe for brownies and concluded with "Just think, if you'd left the theater when these credits started, you'd be home by now" :rotfl:

They were exceptionally long, but a very funny scene at the end. I won't say any more.

GDB, how are the wedding plans going? And the weather forecast?

Just seen a world round-up of the weather/temperatures.

I hadn't realised this heatwave was worldwide.

    Wedding is fraught.

When we got married, it was all pretty straightforward. Wedding in the synagogue followed by tea in the hall round the back. Nothing fancy, and definitely MSE-style. It seems to have worked, as we have been married for roughly two-thirds of my life.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

My parents just popped up the registry office, no guests, not a single photo even.

When my sibling married it was the local church, then a room at the pub for a bit of a buffet and a cake made by the woman round the corner. No "evening" do.

I've just had two rumbles of thunder - and I felt a tiny/light bit of "rain" when I went outside .... very tiny, very light ... but it was definitely "wet stuff falling from the sky".

    EDIT: And a 3rd/closer/louder rumble....

EDIT 2: Ooh eck... 4th one was a "house rumbler"!

EDIT 3: Just had a 5th. Sounds like it's here to stay!

EDIT 4: It's raining! I expect it'll stop in a few minutes, I can see the edge of the cloud.

EDIT 5: Well, it rained twice, each time for about 5 minutes. Temperature's dropped by 3 degrees F.

The Met Office is forecasting dry weather today. The BBC is forecasting thundery showers. They can't both be right.

They agree it will be cloudy/rainy during the lunar eclipse.
