I can't see sunset here, I lose the sun behind big buildings early evening. From the ground it's gone by 5pm.

Just look towards where the sea is, that should do it! :D:D

You should still be able to "guesstimate" where it is by the brighter area of sky behind the buildings.

I expect the moon will be in my "big sky" area then... I usually/often see the moon... it rises where the sun does.

Not at this time of year it won't.
The sun will rise quite a bit further, almost 70 (might be a tad less where you are) degrees, around to the north than the moon does.

Pyxis , you're right - that ad is for Audio Description.

I remember we had a problem with our last TV set - Mr ivyleaf turned AD on by accident and we couldn't get it to go away! We'd turn it off, and then the next time the TV was switched on, there it was again. I can't remember how we got rid of it in the end. i think Mr ivyleaf took it back to factory settings or something.

I'll just stick to my method... randomly wander outside, look up and see if I can see it :)

Anyone thinking of going to see Mamma Mia 2: Triple check that the cinema has air conditioning, we ended up on the highest row with a ventilation system that certainly wasn't as cooling as needed.

Tip 2 is to stay to the end, the very end after the long credits.

I've turned it on at the handset once or twice by accident! The first couple of times I did that, I didn't notice, but thought it was part of the programme, but then I started to wonder where that voice was coming from! :rotfl:

Strange that it seemed to have got pre-set into your TV!

They aren't like the ones in Hot Shots, are they?

Those credited anybody and everybody they could think of, included a recipe for brownies and concluded with "Just think, if you'd left the theater when these credits started, you'd be home by now" :rotfl:
