Anyway you can gently suggest that he takes his favourites and box up the remainder?
That's what we're trying to accomplish. He has taken a couple of thousand "favourites" to the flat but isn't yet sure that there are no more "favourites" among the other couple of thousand still in the house that need rescuing before we hand over to the house clearance people. We've brought a dozen or so back today but that is a very teeny tiny tip of the book iceberg.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

The little informal photography club that I go to has made it into the local rag today. Apparently they saw the organiser's facebook post about the next meeting and phoned her to get more info for an article.
The only snag is that they seem to think that we can perform the impossible (even assuming that the weather on Friday does play ball). Can anyone spot why?

That's what you get with "journalists" these days.... perform the impossible (even assuming that the weather on Friday does play ball). Can anyone spot why?...
Don't know night from day, up from down, sun from moon .... or Arris from Elbow.
Why from 7.30pm? I thought it didn't happen until 1am ... or do you plan to do 5 hours of drinking and eating pies first?0 -

Yeah, and I bet they have their hot water supplied by those lunar panels on their roofs.
It starts being visible at 8.50 pm (London) and goes on to about 10.13pm (London), I believe.

I wanted to watch something on telly at 9pm. Been trying to get the telly to work for 40 minutes and it's not in the mood. The bar steward.
I can at least get it on catchup later on when it's released... wasn't overly "interested" in it to be honest. Boy George & Who Do You Think You Are - but they go to Ireland and do some relly of his that was in the IRA and executed for it. Not interested in Ireland/IRA stories.... they're all boring.0 -

I don't watch it for "who it is", but the story... and I automatically am not excited to watch certain subjects. Some are just boring ... because of the way it's told and sometimes they labour on and on over the same old ground.0 -
I take it we was talking (in the article about the lunar eclipse) about the fact that the moon don't make crepuscular rays, the way what the sun in the pic is doing?
Drinking pies and eating beer sounds good to me!0
