Pastures, I have just sent you a PM.
Edit....also, Peacock's do this one for £8.....
https://www.peacocks.co.uk/lurex-cloche-hat-0cca58.html
Re PM, box is full now so can't reply ....
When I looked at the map I had a choice of Bou or Bos - and Bos was closer so that's where I went. She suggested I tried Bou, but it was SOOOO hot and I was so fed up I didn't want to drive/park again, find the store ... go in ... only to be further disappointed.
£8's too much - at £8 you have to really think about whether you like the hat enough. £3-4 is a "hat", above that it's a major investment and decision making session.
And that Peacock's one isn't what I had in mind.... it'd make me look odd, plus, with the windy weather in these parts, it'd become an overhead to keep it on.0 -
Ten quid to get in a car boot!!!???
They can go away in a very definite manner!
They weren't wearing tricorn hats and riding horses called "Black Bess" were they?0 -
Some charity shops sell cheap hats that are new.
Plus there's your local street market. Now, what day of the week is that on?(I just lurve spiders!)

I can understand carboots charging to let you park your car, but £10 seems very steep.
What really annoys me is being charged to enter halls holding sales of stuff, like antique fairs, where all you can do is spend money!
I mean, you aren't charged to enter a shopping mall, are you?(I just lurve spiders!)

We haven't been for a bit, I think last time it was half a quid.
Just looked and it's gone up to a quid.
Still there's a lot there. I don't object.
I won't pay to go into sales. Not unless it's a token like 20p or something.
I've walked out in the past when I've seen they charge.0 -

I got "trapped" ... they call it "Early Bird" (can't think why as it opens at 9am).... and as you arrive you're funnelled into a multi-lane parked queue.... I arrived about 8.50 and was about the 20th person. I saw them open the gates and saw everybody handing over notes ..... so I asked the chap in the next car and he said it's £10 for the first hour....
It must work for them, they get a queue!!
I've been there before, usually about 11am or so as it'd usually be the 2nd on my list. Today's was about 1/4 of the size of normal. No crowds of the public wishing to walk out in hot weather today ....
I don't really "rate" that one, wish I'd gone in the other direction where it's 25p to get in and they have "good stuff" as the stallholders are older/posher and so you don't get pile after pile of kids' clothes and toys and everybody speaking in foreign languages.0 -

...local street market...
Been there a few times, it's actually a dead loss. Exciting the first time you discover it... then you realise there's nothing ever there that you'd be interested in. Probably no hats, else they'd be expensive ones.
Modern markets use the term "markets", but they're not full of exciting/cheap things like they used to be; now they're more organic and artisan ... a pet accessories stall ... and the man in a van that's flogging packs of meat.0 -

This gives you loads of links even if you don't spell it correctly.
By the way, this Pimms stuff I have been guzzling, does it contain any alcohol? It just tastes like fruit juice. I've had a couple of jugs full, and my typing has gone all to pot.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
