    Hooray, hooray,
    The first of May,
    Outdoor sex begins today.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Those who haven't experienced it can't imagine what it's like. Because it's not a day, or a few days, but never-ending, every day - and, as I'm sure you discovered, they find new things to do that are "wrong" as time progresses.... and then you're living not just with when they're doing it, but the fear of them starting at any moment, and doing who knows what, for how long ... every day, the "anticipation" of trouble is as bad as it occurring.

And you're "alone" as others/neighbours are out, don't see the problem, aren't affected, so don't "pitch in" on your behalf, but leave you to deal with it as it's "your problem".... and some are pleased it's not them.

I used to have nice ornaments in my garden and enjoy sitting our there on a nice day. One day a football came over and narrowly missed both me and the ornaments, ex hubby had 'a word'. Next time I went out and they realised, I and the ornaments appeared to have become target practice.

One by one the ornaments were broken, then holes started appearing in the fence, toys started going missing, bikes and patio chairs stolen, cans and takeaway food containers started appearing, paddling pools for the boys mysteriously obtained holes (or slashes) in them. The final straw was when yet another paddling pool I had purchased for the boys was peed in....while they were in it, through one of the many holes they had made in the fence.

It got to the point that whenever I tried to do anything nice to the garden or buy anything nice, it would be ruined or stolen within hours, so I just gave up on it and stopped using the garden.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    ...

B4st4rds... that's the trouble, it starts with an act of wanton carelessness and once they know you're "bothered" it becomes a full on war that you never deserved and didn't ask for. On the other hand, not appearing "bothered" gives them license to repeat and escalate in any case - possibly as they're seeing how far they can go before you ARE "bothered" .... and then they'll start the active war.

    Feral scum...

I think those old chestnuts could be rolled out:
    "Well nobody complained"
"You should knock on their door"
    "Nobody else minds"
"It's just kids playing. It's good for them to be out and active".

All irrelevant when it comes to the underbelly of society's misfits and not relevant to the events/situation and dynamics.

It's bullying, hate crime, dysfunctional at best. These types will be a lifetime nuisance and cost to society and neighbours until they die (probably in a stolen car).

I've just lugged down something I bought as it "looked like it could be handy" - it's a superlarge footstool, about 3'x2'.

So I thought I'd flog that on a local FB page - but, what's it worth ... what is it ... how to describe it. Should I ask for £20? Is it worth £30? Or is it a "name" and they never sell for less than £60?

I can do what it is and the dimensions, but have no idea if it has a particular brand/name (no tickets) and I have no idea how to describe the covering (fabric, colour, style).

I might post it on the an MSE relevant forum of "Describe This...." to see if people out there can say "Oh, I had one of those, it came from .... and that pattern is described as ..."

It all comes down to that awful word of "making an effort" though doesn't it!

I've decided to start my decluttering etc by starting with the really annoying things that I always "meant" to get round to ... and the little jobs that "just needed a dab of superglue"

I didn't even remember I had this until earlier this morning when I was looking at something I'd piled on top of it! You get Clutter-Blind with your stuff.

I picked it up on my "random wanderings" as a whim of "that looks handy" and the minute I got it home I thought "whatever did you buy/lug this thing home for?"

Just a thought, Pastures....... is it upholstered? If so, you might not be able to sell it without it having a fire label on it.
(You can give it away, but you can't sell it without one).
Unless it's a real antique with original horsehair fillings or something.

    I'll check for you.........

Edit.......the regs don't apply to furniture/furnishings made before 1950., (but presumably providing they haven't been re-upholstered since then).
