ha ha, I thought it just might
it's quite pretty actually, the flowers are such a gorgeous colour, but it has one of those underground root systems
There's plenty of it around the edges of the back garden, but I have managed to get rid of it from the little front border, and also pulled out last year's old woody stems from the Lavatera which started off in next door's garden and spread into ours, and I told them I was very happy for it to be there, since it's (a) pretty when in flower, and (b) saves me having to do much work in that corner0 -

Well, I suppose if it's a nice flower, you could always put some in a large pot and enjoy it that way.(I just lurve spiders!)

My rare book collection has started up again, albeit on a lower scale than before...James bought me a signed and limited edition copy of a book by one of my favourite authors for my birthday yesterday. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Happy birthday, Sue.
I hope you're feeling better soon, ivyleaf.
I'm doing car insurance quotes this morning. Is there anything more tedious and boring? Why do so many things have to be filled out again and again?
DD becomes a teenager today and DS has his driving test this afternoon, so we may or may not end up needing the insurance today! :eek:Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Miss Doozergirl 13? i can't believe how fast time has gone. I hope Master Doozer got on all right but if not, at least it's good practice (if horrendously expensive )
I think I'll pass, on the alkanet stew.....
Meanwhile, anyone know the easiest way to get rid (at least temporariliy) of creeping buttercup? i'm thinking I'll just have to dig up the whole border (it's narrow, so a bit fiddly) and pull out as much as I can. I tried using a weeding tool but that didn't work, it just pulled through the stems and left them behind.0 -
