Neighbours are having a screaming row ..... trouble is I can't quite make out a word. She's been giving him a right Royal telling off at full volume for about 15 minutes, but, try as I might, I can't hear a bl00dy word.

Should I go and bang on their door and ask them to stand closer to the window? There are two houses between mine and theirs.

No that would be indiscreet. Instead you should pop round to the house between and ask them to install a whopping great glass across their living room so you can hear better.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

For all the talk of new build flimsiness, these houses are super-insulated and I doubt any glass could hear anything through any wall!

If they're going to keep rowing, I'll have to pop round when they're out and tuck a listening device somewhere discrete.

It might be more discreet to learn to lip-read. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

What is happening? Are you getting in but can't download, or can't get in at all?

Do you know when your library card expires?

Can't get in, says server is overloaded or too slow to respond - there is something on the St Albans library facebook this morning. Neither on the herts.overdrive nor the Herts CC library site were there obvious 'contact us' links to report the problem.
    I think....

HUGE storm here, tipping it down with rain .... I'm in a "lightning alley" so to speak .... so I've kind of packed a bit. Not really packed (no spare clothes or passport) .... but my bag/money and phone.

    :)

Just in case.... I think/hope it's passed now! I bet it hit something close by though as I did hear a bang.

Ah ... and then there was another big flash and bang... and the rain is relentless.
