I stared at it, but it did not leap out at me at all. Not a clue!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    1. A rolling stone gathers no moss.
    2. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

Fascinating! I got the first one quickly and got several of the words on the second but then I scrolled down :o

Love that, thanks for sharing Lydia :)

Another time, would it be possible for a solution to be posted using either the spoiler alert function or whiteout, as I had accidentally seen the solution in the next post to Lydia's before I was ready, and it spoiled it! :(

To do a spoiler alert, type
then type the solution and then type [/S P O I L E R] but without any spaces.

    Here are some examples:

Spoiler alert function...... (click on the Quote button or highlight it to see it).
Rhis is how you do a spoiler alert.......

    Whiteout:
Click on the colour function in the tool bar at the top of a draft post, the big A in a box, and select the white square in the bottom right corner.
Or just type the following code:

then type what you want, then type [/C O L O R] but without any spaces.

The whiteout thing is below: (click on the Quote button or highlight it to see it).....

......and this is how you do the whiteout thing.

(Please note that if you quote a post containing a whiteout, you will be able to see the spoiler on the old green format, as it will come up white on the pale green of the quoted post. I don't know what happens on the blue and white format!)

    Thank you.

Laid up in bed. Woke up (again) at the start of Homes Under the Hammer. Thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt as one project looks interesting.

True to form. One person has just slapped paint on it, made a vague attempt at cleaning the disgusting bathroom and laid cheap carpet so badly it looks like it was dragged from a skip. At least the Estates Agents comment on it being 'refurbished to a reasonable standard'.

I don't know how people sleep at night, making money from smoke and mirrors.

Okay, it was worth it for the lovely bit of restoration and regeneration for Margate. A very pretty hotel creating jobs, bringing money into the economy and transforming an attractive Victorian building.

I guess as long as the buyers are happy and none of the ceilings fall on them then where is the harm?
    I think....

Not to mention ripping out period features and turning every room into a soulless white box. :(

I didn't see the very beginning properly but they mentioned a problem with a gable wall before they cut to the next purchase. Not sure he managed to address anything there and fit the massive kitchen on the £5k he spent.

"Developing" on those terms doesn't sit easily with me at all.
