Hey CK, what do you think of this year's Eurovision?

    Hey Viva,

I haven't seen that many of the songs yet. Those that I have seen are strong though, and I'll get back to you when I've had a chance to see everything.

I need to do something first, but you'll get a PM elsewhere shortly as there's something I think it's fair you know.

The trouble is, people get the terminology mixed up.

A holiday/mobile home is one thing, defined by the agreement you enter into, which is based on the planning permission of the Park.

A residential home has additional requirements re insulation etc - but, again, is dictated by the planning permission of the site and the agreement you enter into.

Living in one "as residential" doesn't make it residential if the planning permission and your agreement do not back this up.

Residential park home owners do have more protection from evictions - although not immune from it, they simply get more notice/rights.

The Shelter link from viva's post clearly advises people to check carefully whether they're buying into a "protected" site where you can live all year round and have the enhanced rights she mentioned, or a "holiday home" site where you can't and don't. I bet lots of people don't read the small print, though.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Spurred on by CK's mentions of the place, I've been watching Michael Portillo and his trusty Bradshaw's guide tour around Georgia before travelling on to Azerbaijan. He starts in Batumi before heading to Kutaisi and then on to Tblisi. I had no idea how beautiful and mountainous the country looks. Batumi looks lovely too.

A lovely programme and an insight into a country that rarely makes it on to tv, well worth viewing on catch up.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Georgia's always in the news for some reason.

I still love the country and every time I'm back I learn something new.

    Where is everyone?
Monday is my day off, so I have been spending the day catching up on financial record keeping that I have allowed to get months behind, but need to catch up on by the end of the tax year for tax credit purposes. :o
Edit: why can I not type apostrophes successfully on this annoying iPad???

I've spent the day working for about 10 hours, then I've been doing business-related things (like accounts) once I've got home.

I'm about to start dealing with emails as I still have some from a few weeks ago that haven't been opened yet, after I've chased a business contact I met in January who was dangling the idea of a high value contract to see if he has progressed with being able to award the said contract.

    Don't quote below, will delete.

Is it the dreaded apostropheitis? There's a thread about it in Site Feedback. It's a blip that occurs on some iPads with apostrophes and some other punctuation marks, as a result of some anti-spam measures or something.
