Cat poo is obviously smaller (depending on how big the dog is, obvs), and usually has a lot of hairs in it. It also smells very different from dog poo.
Not the best characteristics to have to go by!
And I didn't realise I was such an 'expert' (I just lurve spiders!)

I charge £200 per sniff.
It could well be cat, in which case you have your work cut out deterring it.(I just lurve spiders!)

The ones that are very important to know the difference are the types of bear.
In the USA, the Park Rangers recommend that when hiking, you wear little bells on your clothing, carry a pepper spray and learn to tell the difference between the two types of spraint so that you know which type of bear is around.
Black Bear spraint doesn't smell of much and mainly contains the remains of insects and berries. However, Grizzly Bear spraint smells of pepper and contains little bells.

The MSE cheap energy club has recently told me it was time to switch energy suppliers, so I've just done it today. It told me to go with Tonik energy. If any other NP get the same recommendation, feel free to tell me about it so I can recommend you and get a £20 gift, and I'll send you £10 of it!Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I found an animal turd on my yard near my back door last week. No dogs come down there so presume it's a cat although it was on concrete. Could have been a fox I suppose.
I put it in a plastic bag or two, using a bag on my hand, and put it in the bin. The plastic bags are the ones used for loose fruit n veg in the supermarket so are free of charge.
What is the problem about animals leaving poo behind in the garden?
Cats mainly do their business on earth and cover it over while dogs don't.0 -
Cats will poo where they smell they have pooed previously so I would definitely put it in a bag and dispose of it.0

Possibly a hedgehog? What is the problem about animals leaving poo behind in the garden?
My main problem with them doing it is contaminating my soil and/or veggies - plus digging up the young plants in order to "do their business".0 -
Why is horse manure generally acceptable while cat poo is not?
As fertiliser, i should add, on your soil!0
