Eta: forgot to mention current leader in the betting, Israel: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CziHrYYSyPc

I can see why that would be in the lead, the image is right! 3/1 is poor; wouldn't bet on those odds.

I did put a cheeky wager on Norway at 40/1, including an each way bet. It has now shortened to 22/1 so it feels like a great deal in any event :D

The MSE cheap energy club has recently told me it was time to switch energy suppliers, so I've just done it today. It told me to go with Tonik energy. If any other NP get the same recommendation, feel free to tell me about it so I can recommend you and get a £20 gift, and I'll send you £10 of it!

I've re-fixed with Scottish Power, because as crap as they are they had one of the best deals on the market and I couldn't be bothered to have another energy company mess a switch up.

The house was originally with British Gas, moved to Scottish, then to EDF, then back to Scottish. Energy use is low compared to a few years ago, and actually as I type this I'm sat under a nice warm blanket with a hot water bottle sorting a list of things that need to be done for tomorrow instead of having the heating cranked up.

I"m in Waitrose cafe again. The beard net man is actually very charming, his beard is very well kept and he has very beautiful big blue eyes. Unfortunately I am married and he wears a beard net.

Not a poor guy! He has choices.......1) to have a beard, 2) to work in a place that requires a beard net.

He's obviously happy with both those choices. :D:D:D

I expect there are other perks, too, like married women getting the hots for him due to his big blue eyes! :rotfl:

I've just returned from a 2-day residential course on Etymology, and jolly interesting it was too!
Did you know that pea and cherry were originally pease (as in pease pudding) and cherise (as in French cerise), but that because they both sounded plural, they back-formed into pea/peas and cherry/cherries.

The plural should have been peases and cherises.

I read that as an entomology course, and then wondered what on Earth peases and cherises had to do with insects!
Anyone know a good reading course? :rotfl:

Beards rule! (I speak as a beard wearer!) :D
