Er, no! FWD cars tend to have bigger turning circles. The engine is usually transverse, which gets in the way of the wheels turning.

It's not so much that as limits of practical flexibility in the driveshafts.
Universal joints, of whichever design used, can only work up to a certain angle of offset before they start to tighten up and/or wear excessively.

Funny that, because mine does turn quite sharply. When I switched from my previous car, a Micra, which could turn on a sixpence, I thought I'd have to put up with wider turns, but I don't! :)

It is quite low, though, so perhaps that's why?

I didn't think avocados were expensive, though?
They used to be, back in retro times, :D, but they aren't particularly now,

It depends how you're measuring them.

What are they for ... is that the only food you'll eat all day? Or a starter for a banquet.... will you eat 3 meals that day, or just have one in a sandwich for lunch.

I "aim for" a total food budget of £1/day. When I overspend I know I have, but I keep my eye on the £1 as my measure for affordability.

One avocado is £1 at L1dl, or 90p-£1.15 at Waitrose (essentials range).

    I've never had one ....

For something that appears to be "an item, not even a whole meal" that seems pricey unless you're utterly addicted to them.

I can get a bag of five doughnuts for 65p if I want a treat! :)

I'm sure avocados used to be half that price. One avocado goes quite a long way spread on toast, with a bit of vinegar maybe. Or just pepper.

I would hate to think that you've gone through life without sampling one, PN. Maybe you could stretch to one if they come back down to 50p again?

Cherry tomatoes plus avocado make a lovely salad, if you can bear to think of salads at this time of year!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    I do like them, though!
Plus, they are quite nutritious, and even though they have more calories than a lot of vegetables, they are 'good' calories, iyswim.

They are an acquired taste, though, Pastures, if you're ever tempted to taste one, and if they are underripe they aren't nice.

However, they are great for anyone who is underweight, or unwell/ill as they are an easy way to get nutritious calories into someone; they don't take any effort to eat, you see.

Plus you can eat them raw, on their own or in salads, or you can spread them on toast or crackers, or you can chop them and add them to stir fries, so they are quite versatile.

Edit....Plus you can spread it on your face as a face-pack!

Just had a quick look......... Sainsbury's sell two ripe and ready ones for£1.80 and four ripen at home ones for £1.85.

It didn't give weights, so no idea how big they are, although they also sell big single ones and baby ones, (and organic ones) but they're more expensive.

After you've used them as a face pack, surely the MSE thing to do is spread them on toast or crackers?

The four ripen at home avocados are what I buy. They aren't very big. My favourite way to eat them is in an avocado and ementhal toastie, which also contains tobasco, mayo and black pepper. Nom nom nom..
