Greetings Lildoon, I'm here to explore/expose my inner weirdness...and to rock safely in the corner after being traumatised on the main site.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Currently trying to organise a work-free(ish) 2 weeks in February, even if we did end up taking the bus through the 'scenic route' back to the airport leaving me a bit worried that we were going to miss the flight (we were there an hour before checkin closed, flight was late).

Then it started getting dark.
I miss it already💙💛 💔0 -
I like mushrooms and avocados...add a sliced tomato, some shredded lettuce and a dollop of mayo encased in a freshly baked crusty baguette and you have one of my fave sandwiches
I'm also an insomniac, hence reading your 'nice' thread for the first time on yet another sleepless night.
Oh and I have a very dodgy laptop screen'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -
CK, for a mountain lover, why pick Inner Herts as the place to live?
(I suppose there is Pavis Wood. Does that count?)

I too try to look for silver linings, much to the chagrin of some who feel there is a single formula to success. I am one of those annoying big picture people but alas, it's fun bopping up against the stream. Glad I've found a place with avocados to soothe my soul!
Ooh! Another early waker!

I wish I could say it was willful, but it seems to be something my lovely subconscious reserves for weekends. Currently prodding my husband awake for some entertainment. What does one usually do at this hour?? (disclaimer - I have no children but a cat and a dog!)0

Greetings lildoon, another member of the Inner Herts club here, in my case, west Herts.
I also like it hilly, which is why I'm on the hillier, edge of Chilterns side of the county.
Oh, and I can't stand mushrooms. I am a veggie and find their taste too meaty. I don't like meat substitutes very much either. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Hi vivatifosi! I've not explored Herts very much yet so will need to get around that. Moved here a year ago and very much enjoying it - especially being able to have a backyard and be within 30 minutes of central London.
In terms of meat substitutes - what about root veg and legumes? My mother is the same, hates the taste, smell and sight of meat but seems to be okay with mushroom. It's a shame some places think vegetarians don't need flavoursome dishes. Went to a Christmas party recently where a vegetarian colleague was served orange slices for all 3 courses 0 -
