Avatar change time, used the last one for 6 years!

I don't have avatars nor signatures displayed due to certain posters' (not NPs) delight in using large and/or garish images, so I won't see it.
This one was yesterday's dinner :)

However, I do hope that it was yesterday's dinner before it was eaten :rotfl:

Both viva and I have information in our sigs that might save your life (or someone else's).

Viva - I used your sig in my Y11 lesson yesterday. We're doing radioactivity, and have to discuss risks from radiation in context with other cancer risks. I remembered B, C, D & E, but couldn't remember A. Fortunately, one of the students knew, and was able to remind me. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Oh, that reminds me. PN, I meant to ask after seeing your post about police tape everywhere, etc.

Were you by any chance brought up listening to The Goon Show?
That's the only other place I've come across people using the term "deaded", usually in that programme referring to the character Bluebottle but occasionally Eccles too.

Yes, although avatar sized images are so indistinct you do sometimes wonder what on earth some are! :)

Unfortunately, some [STRIKE]idiots[/STRIKE] people use signatures that are more likely to cause blindness, set off a headache or worse

No Goons, but I was in East Anglia.
It's not a word I'd use face to face with adult/important people... it's just a jokey vernacular sometimes used.

Reading between the lines, it looks like she was walking past a row of cars parked in a parking layby outside the 2-3 shops when a moving car hit one of the parked cars and shoved it into her, pinning her into a low height brick garden wall, adjacent to the few shops. Driver was 94 and might/might not have had a medical episode.

There's a small/corner shop there, maybe she'd popped in to get her copy of the People's Friend.

Frustrating! You might want to turn them on, read viva's sig (about how to know if your mole is worth getting checked out) and mine (about tyre tread depth) and then turn them back off again afterwards. :)

Cool, that's great news! Thanks. I have had a couple of people PM me about my sig and how they went to see the docs as a result. it is definitely worth having. I think the same way about yours too. I check my tyres far more regularly as a result.

My mum now has a potentially dangerous mole and is having hers looked at next Tuesday. It fails on A, B, C and E. They are great at the derm team though. They advise you now to be prepared to be at the hospital for six hours. That way they can see you for the initial consultation, do the digital imaging and remove under local all in that time frame. If it's nothing to worry about, you get to leave earlier.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Now I can't remember what your old avatar was! :(

I do hate when that happens!
(Me forgetting, not you changing your avatar!:D)

Oooh! You could have seasonal dessert avatars, like me and my seasonal blackbirds!

Ice cream in the summer, your new one here for autumn, something Christmassy for winter, and umm, fruit salad or something for Spring.
