Oh, and I think kale is good too. But I understand most people don't like either of those foodstuffs. :rotfl:
PS Lambs liver is tasty with fried onions.
Don't forget the bacon either. Actually my preference is pig's liver, it's got a stronger flavour.
Liver and Bacon casserole with onions, yum, yum, very hard to beat :T0 -
Iron absorption problems can be deceptive, too.
My father was thought to be anaemic for a long time, and was being prescribed iron tablets for ages, but it turned out it was the opposite....iron overload! Haemochromatosis. Iron supplements were the last thing he needed.
Normal iron tests don't work for that diagnosis..... it has to be a special test which isn't done routinely.
The trouble was, that every time he had a routine blood test done, it came back 'anaemic', and the then doctor wanted to prescribe iron, so we had to keep explaining that it wasn't anaemia, it was haemochromotosis!
It can be genetic, too, which is why I had a test done, but I seem to be ok.(I just lurve spiders!)

Will you be putting up any artwork? If you are and it's in strong colours, you may find that the pictures lift the pale green.
Plus when the furniture is back in place it'll look different again.
Indeed. Thanks for mentioning it. It may also look stronger when they've done the second coat.
I'm holding off on artwork until I see what pictures my dad doesn't take from his house to his flat, and which of the ones that get left behind turn out to belong to one or other of my brothers. There are some nice ones in what used, years ago, to be my oldest brother's room, but I don't know whether they'll be available to me or someone else will have a prior claim on them. I also have a picture that LNE bought that DD is very fond of, of a white seal on snow - so not really fitting the "strong colours" description! I want all artwork in that room to have an outdoorsy natural sort of feel to it.ukmaggie45 wrote: »LOL. You need to eat more liver!Oh, and I think kale is good too. My grandmother was anaemic at one point. She had to go to some kind of clinic or something for it, at the local hospital. It occurred to her that while she was there, she might as well kill two birds with one stone and go and give blood...Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I use an oral spray b12 as my levels are on the low side despite having a good diet.I think....0

The only people who are at risk of not getting enough B12 from their diet are vegans. People who eat any animal products at all, including eggs and dairy, are fine. So those of us who are low in B12 at times get that way because of not absorbing dietary B12 very well. That's why it's treated with delivery methods that don't depend on absorption in the digestive tract. Your spray is probably designed to be absorbed through the mucus membranes of the mouth, I would imagine???Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Hey guys, I really do need to check in here more often
Sorry to hear of your situation Sue. I can't comment further as I wouldn't want to offend anyone (even though I'm not sure how my views would) and that it's a subject I don't know a lot about more recent developments in.

Those who wish to find/follow you can - and they're all you're interested in. Let others spread the word ... you just get your thoughts down and "run"/leave them to it ...
Just like your cycle stuff ... but for ortizmz.
And remember that once you've done it once, it's quicker, easier and cheaper to make it work again. I've found that with social media on behalf of clients.
I'm not touting for business here and will happily give my skills and half an hour of my time to another nice person for free, but if you want to PM me some details when you know what you're looking at, I'm more than happy to narrow down a small enough audience for you to work with on a tiny marketing budget for seeding, which usually leads to some sharing and therefore increased exposure.💙💛 💔0 -

Funnily enough, though, one treatment for iron overload is phlebotomy....... draining off an amount of blood at quite regular intervals....... to get rid of the excess iron.
Shame they can't use the blood! They might be able to use bits of the blood, though.(I just lurve spiders!)

Thanks for that, I still need to get my head around the idea first before making any kind of commitment. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Painters here today.
Roughly how long do they take, how much does it cost?
I don't plan on painting all my walls that I expect to be built ...and, the rest of the gaff will need a freshen up... so I just wondered.
If I then create a "THUD" noise.... I'll be considering doing it myself, but I'd hate to do that as it's a thankless and depressing task.
I've got tons of stuff to fork out for - like an entire new floor across all the new AND all the existing bits; same stuff throughout I thought ... that posh vinyl thingamabob that Doozer named. Some name similar to Visible Panty Line ... ah, LVT. Similar. Once I get the price for that I'll probably feel I've been wedgied0 -
Talking of floor coverings, that's what I need to.
Years ago, I decided on Marmoleum, which was a new version of the old linoleum, and was sustainable.
However, it wasn't done for reasons which I won't bore you with, but when I started looking into it again last year and this, I couldn't find any reference to marmoleum.
I've been wondering what became of it. One shop said it was now called Karndean, but when I googled that, there was no mentioned of marmoleum or it being sustainable or like linoleum, it just appeared to be vinyl, so I'm very confused.
Edit....... just for 'fun' I just decided to try googling it again, and would you believe it, it came up!
http://www.forbo.com/flooring/en-uk/products/marmoleum/c0aq3g
Dunno why it disappeared before, then!
You can make patterns with it, and all sorts of effects.
And this is why I was so keen on it......
"Sustainability
• 97% natural raw materials, 72% rapidly renewable and a 43% recycled content
• There are no phalates, plasticisers or mineral oil in Marmoleum
• Marmoleum is biodegradable and burning it delivers a higher calorific value and thermal energy that outweighs the energy used in production giving a full life cycle circle
• Installation offcuts and production waste is recycled back into our product ensuring optimal raw material utilisation."
"In general, Marmoleum is a brand name of linoleum flooring, just like Armstrong. Linoleum itself is a fairly sustainable product made from solidified linseed oil (linoxyn), pine rosin, ground cork dust, wood flour, and mineral fillers such as calcium carbonate".(I just lurve spiders!)
