    Bear with me. :D

(Someone from a department store twice emailed me with " bare with me". I'm afraid the devil on my shoulder overcame the angel on t'other one that day, and I replied, declining politely).

My car was in for a service yesterday and had an advisory that one tyre is down to 3.3mm. I thought of your sig and changed it. Previously I may have left it for a while longer.

I think I've said this before, but my spellchecker doesn't seem to know that there is the word 'shed', as it almost constantly changes it to 'she'd'.
Also 'ill' keeps getting changed to 'I'll', and very often 'well' to 'we'll'.

It's probably why I'm constantly seeing 'it's' in places where it should be 'its'.

I don't think it can be blamed for the plural s apostrophes, though.

    You think that's bad?

    Yes.

I went to a Drivesafe day course a couple of months ago, and the policeman giving the talk said that the police, ambulance and fire services all replace their tyres at 3.0mm, rather than the legal minimum of 1.6.

I must admit, I bite the bullet when it comes to tyres, and brakes too, as both of those are the main things standing between me and oblivion. What price my life, eh? (As Lydia knows all too well. :(:(:()

Going to see a show in Hammersmith Friday.

Where is a stop on the subway route from Liverpool St Station with plenty of restaurants and atmosphere? Spitalfields or Liv St immediate area was my first thought, eat there then get the subway onto Hammersmith afterwards.

I dislike soulless places (as an example went we went to Wembley the restaurants in the Mall there - very depressing and all chain places)

I rarely go to London so am clueless.

Another thought was Islington High St as I recall many restaurants one can chose from.

I live in London, but I avoid going into the centre if possible! Covent Garden is fun, with lots going on, and it's on your route.

Central Line from Liverpool St to Holborn. Short walk to Covent Garden, as that's easier than changing trains. Then Piccadilly Line to Hammersmith.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Ta will consider, any other thoughts, perhaps a little less touristy? I found the restaruants round there just so busy and I felt like just another number as opposed to a valued guest IFKWIM

BTW - Mrs May's coughing all over the podium is making me cringe - she needs to go off for 5 mins
