Is it compulsory to now forever wear pink and continually enter short running races for charity?

... interesting walking around with just the one.

The other day I was talking to a woman I'd just met at an event I attended, and noticed that she only had one. I immediately assumed breast cancer and a mastectomy, and it made me feel that I wanted to be extra nice to her because she'd had such a horrible thing happen to her. I'm so glad you're getting lots of support from your work friends and the hospital staff etc, and I hope people will respond the same way to you throughout all the phases of the process. :)

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
  • I too am thinking of you Nikkster, and hope good things for your future.

    Scoffins!

I was given the task of making scones for tea this afternoon. I decided to make apple and sultana scones. I soaked the sultanas, and the mixture was too sloppy to make into scones, so I stuck it into muffin cases instead. Hence, we have scoffins!

Very nice, too. PN will be delighted to hear that they have all been scoffed already.

That's weird, because a couple of nights ago I got a sudden munchie urge for scones, so went down and rustled up a mixture. However, I put too much milk into it, so it was more like cake mix than a kneadable dough.

It was late and I couldn't be bothered to correct the consistency, so I just slopped it into a foil dish and bunged it in the oven to cook like a sconey cake. Or a cakey scone. Or whatever.

Anyway, as soon as it came out of the oven it got scoffed, whatever it was.

I scoffed my unwitting scoffin! :rotfl:

Nikkster, I am sorry you have breast cancer, glad you are being treated somewhere you have confidence in and wish you all the luck in the world. Hair grows back, I know your breast won't but you will still be beautiful, and here on earth and with those who really matter to you.xxx

Pobby, it sounds like you have been going through more than a fair share of ups and downs. I wish you uneventful times ahead. My new favourite state of life is dull. Dull is good.

Lir, you too have been living in interesting times. Sorry to hear of the loss of dogdog. I hope that whatever you have had on your plate is now more manageable and not all consuming.

    Love to all NP
