102 posts, how great! I never stick at anything so I’m pleased I’ve keot going on here. It’s defintely kept me motivated, as I could so easily have ran out of steam now I’ve paid my 2 ancient overdrafts off and just carried on paying the minimums on the interest free credit cards every month. But no! Onwards and upwards!
I’m on 11/15 NSDs for September! I hope to make it to 1 more but I fear that’ll be it looking at my diary. That’s ok, 15 was rather hopeful and I’d not tried this challenge before so I didn’t know what to expect.
Nsd today and did what I planned to do, painting. Redid all the walls downstairs in white so it’s freshened it right up. Now to finish some satin bits and the place is ready for the winter festivities. Must sound silly but I have a live/hate feeling when I get near the end of a to do list. I start looking around fir new projects. I really don’t have anything I can do really, I don’t need to do anymore painting as I like the whole house white. Garden looks lovely. Cupboards are all organised. Hmmm.LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩0 -
So sad to lose your previous bracelet.
Is there any chance you could make an insurance claim?
DD had a charm bracelet which she took to Uni but lost a really special charm off it in a club and stopped wearing it after that, as it was so expensive to insure and then she went travelling and didn't want to risk it. If you are collecting for your daughters, do make sure you have some sort of cover for them - some of those charms can't be bought later and one that DD valued had been put on by the shop but the link broke.
Having said all that, they are a lovely way to collect memories of special occasions.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Aw that’s a shame to hear cherry!
Yes that’s a good idea about cover, I’m already in love with the charms and what it all signalifies.
And good news, put on a coat yesterday and found my Swarovski one in the pocket. So I now have 2 bracelets, lucky me!
After my last posts about projects, have found something new to focus on for a few days, my photos and videos on my phone. I have 2000 photos and 300 videos and need to sort uploading them and sorting through them so that’ll be my project this week once the children are in bed. Feel so much better knowing I have a job to do!
Off to softplay today, meeting some friends, but packing lunchboxes to keep costs minimal.LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩0 -
Well an unexpected but welcome nsd again today! My friend’s husband works at the softplay we visitors so we got a freebie! And we popped into nanny’s house on the way who topped up our lunchboxes as the toddlers has scoffed most of it on the journey already!
So that’s 12 for the month with hopefully number 13 tomorrow. No plans tomorrow. Friends are going to the shops but I’m staying strong and going home. Any another nsd yesterday. 3 in a row! Just been doing my sums for the month as it’s almost October and im still confident I can keep clearing my barclaycard and I’m going to put my 7yr old only school dinners as he’s asked and asked.
Got a friend over to do my hair today and then tomorrow I’m off to my friends wedding so not sure what to expect I’ll be spending this weekend.LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩0 -
Friday! Just sent £100 to barclaycard. Didn’t like last week that I ended up not sending anything to it. I will get it cleared in 2017!
Had my hair done yesterday, so paid my friend for that, and today off to do my weekly foodshop and tidy the house and then I’m leaving lunchtime for the wedding weekend. Woo what a weekend! Wedding was beautiful.
Sadly though I overspent, thankfully having just done my sums I should be just ok for the week. It was just lots of situations where we were expected to put our hands in our pockets and so I just need to remember to budget more for weddings in the future.
Another bit of a shame about the weekend was I suffered from awful anxiety from just before I left on friday and then all weekend. Anxiety is quite a new feeling to me, I don’t understand it or like it, and I’m struggking to even believe it’s a real thing! But I just didn’t feel comfortable all weekend. So I think I’m going to visit the doctor this week.LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩0 -
Well yesterday was a NSD so a good start to my week. Today will hopefully be as well as no plans to spend, it’s my daughters first birthday so we’ve just got some friends coming over. Haven’t bought her anything! That’s not really a money thing though, simply because she’s 1 and doesn’t need anything!
Have meal planned for the week, have no plans except Thursday when my sons cast is coming off at hospital. Starting to look ahead to Christmas now, need to spread the costs if I’m still hoping to pay off barclaycard by 2018 as well. Friday I’m buying some second hand ps3 games for my boys so that’s a start.LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩0
