            Good afternoon all,
Lottebear well done on the lego cards:T
Busy morning cleaning and washing. Just been to B&Q for some electrical bits for the kitchen lighting. I'm very lucky that I'm married to an qualified electrician, builder so the materials have cost very little and he will do all the work. So the kitchen will really be done on a shoestring.
Todays MS Jobs
-plan our meals for the next 7 days. Really working hard to eat healthy and try and lose some weight. Also want to incorporate as much of the garden produce into that as possible.
-Our lovely daughter bought us both an RHS membership for our anniversary so really hoping to make use of that and plans some MS trips.
-I'm going to be prepping the woodwork on the stairs as I can't help with electrical stuff, and that's the area we plan to tackle next.
-Pick another tub of strawberries and distribute them around various
family members.
-Make a chicken curry for tea. Looks like my youngest and his gf will be here so make it stretch to 4, we will miss hime when he goes off travelling in 19 days:eek:
Hoping for a relaxed evening in front of the TV. Have a great day all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

            Hello Campers,
NOT money saving - going over our grocery budget this morning. Did main shop in Aldi. Mr f said 'What do you mean we're over budget, you said we'd got X left so we're about 50p under. Explained that we had just come from fruit & veg stall on the market, butcher & Wilko's & unfortunately I had been forced to pay with actual cash & not fresh air. So despite intending to do a lovely big fat now't this afternoon, I think the overspend put me in the mood for recouping a few pennies:
*Picked all the tiny strawberries which were too small to do anything with but shame to waste & baked 2 dozen mini strawberry & vanilla muffins. Froze for packed lunches, etc.
*Cut bunch of basil & made it into pesto....no pinenuts but used up some leftover walnuts. Made 2 tubs & froze.
*Pulled a bunch of homegrown spring onions. Cut some mint & mr f harvested a pot of his new potatoes to go with tonight"s BBQ.
*Made chicken skewers for BBQ-ing but as mr f was cutting the hedge & not hovering around getting the BBQ red mist (you'd never think he was a vegetarian for 12 years!!), I only used 1 chicken breast so was able to freeze the other one (huge), which will do for a stir-fry. I also only needed half the pineapple we bought for the skewers so the rest is in the fridge for tomorrow & Monday.
*Water veggie garden & greenhouse.
*Finish library book & possibly knit more of present.
*Hopefully manage to save a bit of leftover BBQ for tomorrow's picnic.
*Gave cat half a tin of leftover mackerel for his dinner, which was in danger of being chucked out.
Deckchair now coming out in readiness for the resident caveman to light the coals........
Cheers,

            Afternoon comrades,
Today has been all about decluttering, I have taken one large box and two bin liners full of stuff to the charity shop.
Just as I've decided to get rid of all the stuff I think is worth something but nobody else does I've just sold my last two things on eBay (I can only dream of 75 sales in one day!) I have a couple of things I held back to list but 99% of it has gone and the house is looking much clearer.
I took a near dead nemesia back to the GC along with its alive and kicking partner that I bought at the same time to prove it was nothing I'd done and got it relaced. They had reduced all their vegetable strips to half price so I bought some celery (to hopefully pickle with my aubergines) which I have planted in the repurposed storage box. I also potted on all my hollyhocks into disposable plastic pint glasses (slit at the bottom.)
I returned a pallet to the pile down the road as it wasn't quite right for what I wanted it for and have spotted one that would be perfect for a coffee table if they have two or three the same, I will go back down tomorrow for a more thorough look.
We have maggots in the wheelie bin, disgusting, I've been so careful too, throwing away the cat food immediately they walk away from it. The bins are collected on Thursday, until then I'm giving it a wide berth, then it will be hose pipe and disinfectant at the ready on Thursday evening :eek:Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

            Hi all
I feel very out of touch. I have just read to try to catch up.
I do hope you are all well.
Money wise I am keeping in budget but feel as though I am making no progress. Small steps it is then.

It pretty much IS the recommended solution. (Link) :T
Just use a plastic pokey-thing rather than metal.

            Hi June Joy-Seekers,
Quick list today. Just finished nightshift and now it's the weekend. I'm so much happier on this shift for lots of reasons.
Tired.com and a few personal issues right now but you have to plod on don't you, or you fall apart.
Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Year Three:
* Check online banking.
* Keeping an eye on Broadband Allowance.
* Posted off paperwork for my temporary>permanent job conversion. In 7 days I'll be permanent for the first time in years. I've really worked for this. New Boss is great, too. Hoping he will be able to iron out a few things that are driving me bonkers and that he'll let me have two weeks hol soon.
* Bought DW a cheap photography magazine 6 month subscription for Decemberfest. It's now expired and she doesn't want me to renew it. Happy days. :rotfl:
* Was going down the road to a free power-boating event but the weather is lousy; staying in and watching the Americas Cup instead. Saved on fuel an it'll be the same race and exhibition as last year.
* Plan for change from weekly to monthly salary.
* Check all loyalty points.
Onwards and upwards.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0
